Big photo update! Things are getting really crowded in my tent, but I'm going to chop one of the short riders in two weeks! Had a friend watch them for a week while I was gone and they developed some deficiencies (Ca in the big plant, N in the stunted SR)
Nirvana Short Rider 1 - Day 53

Nirvana Short Rider 2 (the stunted one...) - Day 59 - So crazy how this plant has developed. Way different pheno, most likely due to the mutations present in the seed. I had to supercrop the top (shitty, I know...) because the stretch is insane. The light has been at the same distance as the other plant, so I'm attributing the stretch to the genetic mutations.
The second SR is obviously behind the first; I'm guessing that it's about 2.5-3 weeks behind the first one! It's starting the vigorous vertical growth stage; in fact, when I supercropped it, it only took about 2 hours for the growth to completely angle back up toward the light!

One thing I like about SR is the wide pheno range you touched on before. It's like a box of Cracker Jacks with much nicer prizes. As different as they have been for me, the end result of each has been excellent.
So.... I harvested the mature short rider!! I did it in two parts because the main cola was so close to the light. Plus I thought I'd see what kind of trichome mix I enjoyed.
First Harvest: 2/18/15 | Day 67
Wet Weight: 122g
Dry Weight: 23 g
Smoke: Clear, energetic high. I'm just now trying it out, and it's fantastic.
I wish I had waited a bit longer because I think that the nugs could have fattened up more and avoided less water loss. But... I do have the second harvest!
Second Harvest: 2/27/15 | Day 76
Wet Weight: 244 g
Estimated Dry Weight at 80% Water Loss: 49 g
I kept flushing until most of the leaves had yellowed and begun to die off.
Total (Estimated) Dry Weight from Short Rider 1: 72 grams (2.6 oz)
This first grow was absolutely amazing! I have another Short Rider coming up (about 3 weeks left) that was initially stunted, but now it is HUGE. Hopefully I'll pull 3+ ounces!
