Hi AFN

Finally got set up and have some seedlings,

After germinating 3 I put them straight into final pots, I have one germinating in soil in a cup just to experiment and practice transplant etc.

I have read they prefer rh70%, my tent sits between 21-28⁰C and 40-60% rh. I put a dome (well top of a bottle) over 1 seedling and the seed I put straight in soil to germinate, should they all be domed and is my rh going to be an issue?

Other thing I'm unsure of is light distance, it is on full power (150w from wall) currently 30" above pots

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

The ladies are off to a good start. 30" for light is fine for seedling. That is basically the norm.

As far as domes, I rarely do that, so somebody else will come by and fill you in.

I have grown in low humidity for a long time, so you will be just fine.

You aren't doomed but everything works better for the plant if you can control humidity. VPD, Vapor Pressure Deficit, is a measurement of humidity/leaf/ambient temperature to maintain target environmental zones for optimal growth

Shouldn't be any problem. I've germed for years in an open cabinet in a large bathroom where humidity is whatever it is at the moment...every plant grows there for 3-4 weeks. Well ventilated but a hot shower gives them a few humidity peaks daily. I do mist them occasionally. I germ straight in what they grow in under 96w t5 , at three inch distance, 24/0 . A cheap moisture meter will help train ya watering.

Thanks for the reassurance I think I am overystudying now, just dont want to make any blatant mistakes that could be avoided, I will leave all as it is

Thanks I will give this a read, this is my first grow I do plan on having all the necessary equipment to have more control over my tent. Good too hear I'm not doomed
