New Grower Second Timer - DP Auto Night Queen In DWC

Yes I guess there are definite cons to my no-rotation scheme. Here’s what I mean by dead space:

I’m thinking Chinese watermelon here ..:crying:

Btw check this out — supercropped branch mid stretch — look at all the vigorous dense side budding it generated. I think the increase in yield may be substantial:

Yep, like I said at the time, I think you added 30% when you supercropped her at that point in time. Well timed move!

See, and I was supercropping to get rid of the Christmas tree lighting problem. I figured any increase in yield would be from closer access to the light over the rest of the canopy. I didn’t realize all that side budding would be triggered. I guess I did it at the right time in the stretch.

Thanks for the tip buddy!

You see that is the same idea behind SCROGing photoperiod plants. You train the main stems to grow horizontally exposing all of the nodes that are potential bud sites to the light. That in turn grows them into buds. The hard part is getting them to grow evenly. Too much work for me. I have gotten lazy because my lazy method produces an abundance.

Haha — the invisible scrog. Yes your lazy method has been working remarkably well. Me, I need to hustle, explore the method.

Your space looks properly filled. You have to devote some space to the environment support equipment. I just remodeled my exhaust system to fit in the space better and allow me to raise my lights higher. Pictures are in my new thread. which reminds me I need to add it to my signature. so you will be able to click on it in a few minutes.

Oh thanks MOG - I can’t see signatures though, could you tag me in?

Yeah, we always want what we don't have, huh? I want room to be able to move my plants, so I can defoliate and access my plants, but you want them stationary and using every inch of space. Go figure!
