New Grower Second Timer - DP Auto Night Queen In DWC

When I turned the cob off, temps in the cabinet maintained between 72 and 80 degrees, and the slight taco in some of the leaves resolved itself. Well, I decided to confirm that it was the cob lights causing the issue, so I turned them back on. Initially, it was fine, but then during the afternoon, as temps began to rise outside, but before dark period, I noticed temps got as high as 87 degrees and the upper leaves started the tacoing thing,

So, my solutions is to put the cob on a different timer, on for only eight hours during late night and early morning, this way, I should keep temps in the sweet spot that the plants like, while maximizing the reds from the cobs, which is perfectly tuned for flowering at 3000k. Win win!

A quick mid week update. Both plants have continued to stretch, but it looks like things are slowing down. I shouldn't have to supercrop or do anything else for height management. The cabinet will be densely packed though, so I have to get the humidity down as flowering continues.

Right now, it is between 65-70%, which is too high for flower. My humidifier is just not powerful enough right now. Going to try a Damprid moisture removal tub to help there. If I can get that down, and keep my air moving, I should be okay.

Looks like your on for a bumper harvest mate. If your struggling with temps, more airflow is the key. Add an intake fan and/or more recirc fans. Or get a bigger extractor so you can leave the tent flaps open without the smell getting out. That'll help the humidity too as it all just gets sucked out.
It's important to understand the difference between light stress and heat stress. It's not actually the amount of light that's causing it. It's the heat from the light which can be dealt with in other ways so that you can still run full power.

Looking sweet man! :headbang:

I have to agree with the Scotsman, more air flow will help keep mold at bay while you work on getting RH down as much as you can. We all battle something in our grows on some level. This is your battle so far this grow. Looks like you are winning to me!

Sweet work. I will be keeping and eye on the girls as you post photos and see I feel I can spot the SB milkshake pheno.:smokeit::woohoo:

Yeah, it's definitely heat stress caused by the added light. I don't have as much flexibility, though, as I am growing in a steel cabinet. I have two passive intake ports, two 110 fans with filters, a four inch above canopy and a six inch fan below blowing straight through the canopies, all for a 2x2 space. I have good air flow. The cabinet just retains the heat. I think this solution works for now. Temps should go down further in January, and I should be able to keep temps in range at full power. It's not like the Kind LED can't grow can't power this grow all by itself, I a man just being greedy and want to get as much light to them as I can. It may be overkill.

You were certainly right on the money on the heat stress though! Thanks man!

Thanks Med! Yeah, I am exhaling cause I think the topping, supercropping, and LST that I did throughout veg is keeping the vertical height manageable. I think I am close to being done with the stretch now, so just trying to keep the sites exposed and give as much nutes and lights as they can handle.

I will post pics throughout in hopes that you can tell. Right now, they have reversed a bit. Queen 1 was the lankier teenager, but as she stretched, she maintained tight intermodal spacing. Queen 2, was later, smaller, and bushier, bit now she has a few of the tallest stems, and more spacing etween nodes. I am hoping the buds will still stack and create solid colas on her.

I am excited that they are different, as I would love different smoke from the same strain this grow.

I will look for bigger controllable fans in between grows. These filters will probably be due for a replacement by then anyway.

Don't worry at all bro. They are looking on schedule. The magic is about to happen in the next two weeks as the bud and calyx structure with take shape as well as her terp production and smells will go up. Although she won't smell super strong until three or four more weeks from now.

I have looked hard at your photos, but it is still jot possible to tell. Get me a close up on a good cola from each plant. That I then can compare to the archive I have on ANQ and the elusive SB milkshake:drool::DP:
