New Grower Second Timer - DP Auto Night Queen In DWC

Right on, Kreature! Don’t want to let you down! How are things in your tent coming along?

I noticed a couple of stems having leaves like this yesterday. At first I was thinking tip burn, but the impacted leaves also showed burning on the edges. Strange because ppms actually decreased over the week, since I cut the nutes in the top off tank to 20%. Could be some sort of deficiency? Could she have not had enough of something available to her in the tank? It is only on a few stems of Queen 1. Queen 2 in the same res is not showing any signs.

Anyway, it was time for reservoir change, so that should help immediately. I brought ppm back up to 1100, but would like to know if I should increase the top off tank from 20% to 50% strength. If that may have been the issue. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like it got hot. Takes a couple days to show. You already backed her off, so you should be fine. Both phenos want a little different. Feed. BTW, the Strawberry Milkshake pheno was the one who wanted less early and then more late in both grows I did.

Might be her up front there? No worries though. You are good. That won't have any negative effects on the finish as long as you have her where she wants it now. I am usually around 850 to 1000ppms at that point in coco just to give you an idea. Crazy that this OB is taking 2.9 EC right now. That is not the highest I have seen on an auto, but close, and she never showed any signs of nute burn.

Thanks Med. Are you sure it was too hot. This was the first week, I had the top off tank at 20% and not 50%. Previous weeks the ppms rose from 1100 to 1300 through the week, and they were both fine. This week after changing the top off tank nute strength to 20%, ppms decreased from 1100 to 980 through the week. Wanted to give you that information to see if that changes your diagnosis.

I would have thought nute burn as well, but those ppm’s seem to contradict that.

Is that the only thing that changed, the top off nute strength? No changes with lights, environment, water source?

I suppose it could be a Calcium deficiency or a K def. That would make sense going into flower and that you use mostly RO and I don't know how much Calcium you have in your tap water.

If the ppms went down, then a toxicity is unlikely bro. Do you have Cal Mag?

I would do a soft reset at this point, drain res and start over with fresh nutes. Make sure the Cal Mag and supplemental are where they need to be. I.e. Sulfur, iron, boron, manganese, etc. your micronutrients.

She looks light in her color. Maybe she is low on Cal and that could lock out Mag and K. Give her a nice feed and let's see.

I suspect I’m on the edge of a calmag issue myself all the time. I’m using high ppm tap and full strength calmag and manage to get a touch of this every once in a while ... but between the blurple and the 4 cobs and the size of the plants I’m not surprised.
