New Grower Second Grow

Day 93.
I harvested the top/bogger buds of Mimosa. I was right to wait, i think. I may be something around 25g dry, i'm still waiting to see. The rest of the plant reacted really well. I gave her a full feeding, with some b-52 and calmag. The second tier buds started developing right away and, overall, she looks "perkier". Lucrecia's going to be done after the week end, may even sunday, we'll see.

My word is my bond. Mimosa after 1st harvest session, before drinking 2 more liters. Yep, she's still drinking as a frat boy on spring break.

I don't chop when they are still drinking. Just doesn't seem like the right thing to do. I never liked getting cut off back in my drinking days anyways  You're doin great:thumbsup:

I had to chop the top. Keep in mind that after the chop i lowered the light around 30 cms. The top buds were more than ready. Now she'll have another week or so. Even with nutes there are yellowing leaves, so maybe just one more harvesting session. Lucrecia's buds that are curing look and smell great.

Ya that's good you took the height off so the canopy would be more even for the light. And to me, those yellowing leaves are excellent to see. My thinking is the plant is pulling stored energy from the leaves now until they are done. The natural order of the plant finishing up.

When you said she was still drinking, I thought back to my very first outdoor grow. I go to water a plant and the water won't soak into the ground. So then I looked at the rest of the plant and had a duh moment. Plants will tell me most everything, even when they are done trying to reproduce.
The last chop I did this morning, the plant quit drinking 6 days ago. I put it in the dark yesterday and chopped this morning. The trichomes were ripe. A lousy photo but was only meant for my eyes. Looks like couch lock to me

The thing is, she had 3 liters on wednesday, and i was thinking, well this will last. I checked today, and the pot was much lighter than i expected. So, 2 more liters, since i'm away for the weekend. Sunday i'll check and figure timing. I'm thinking 1 week until i get the trichs right. I'm smokin Broomhilda. I lost a LOT of yeld to seeds. But great smoke nonetheless.

Are you going to try growing out any of those seeds?
