New Grower Second Grow - Bubbly Livers (Mephisto) - Auto-fed Coco Topped ScrOG + Runoff Feeding Experiment

Hey Exivious, that is hard to say, as they are different strains and growth environment. They could be faster later.

By the way, such an honor to have The Beer Hunter of Three Sheets fame following along. :p
Actually, Beerhunter to a Canadian (who’s old enough to know) is about these guys...

Haha oh well, I knew it was a long-shot... Logan the Beer Hunter also happens to be Canadian. He made a few guest appearances on a cult early HD channel docuseries about drinking customs around the world, though to be honest, I hadn't thought of him in ~12 years till I saw your username. :p

Pics incoming...

Day 57:

I see so much promise here (probably a bigger yield than my original grow with four plants), yet they don't look anywhere near where I expected them to be. There's a ton of viable, non-popcorn colas here, and the few really tall colas in the back give the impression things are less balanced than they are. I'd have had better cola distribution if I had the screen at 18 or 24" rather than 12", but I try things in increments, and am still pleased. :p

We have a little K burn... Again I lament that I can't, with all my GH nutes, crank up the phosphate and dial back the potassium significantly... I'm doing my best now by using even more 0-5-4 Bloom and less 0-10-10 LKB, but it's still going to be close to 1:1 (considering also that Micro is 5-0-1...). I can't wait till I'm out of Micro and Bloom so I can switch to Dyna-Gro... That's going to be in the middle of next grow--should be interesting. I'll do the math, check it twice, and hopefully seamlessly transition without having a reservoir worth of too-hot or too-weak food.

Day 59:

Buds look more impressive under the growlight, so for the close-ups I'm including LED and CFL-lit photos for balance.

Look at the pistils. The flowers are so immature and still fluffy, yet there are a lot of milky trichs already. If I have to to get a better yield, I'm going to let most of them go amber. It's good, though--if I harvest really late, I'll just make it all into tincture or MCT oil.

(I will figure out the blurry camera problem next time... I'm in the middle of RMA'ing my phone for other reasons and will choose a better camera app when I get it back. I'm also going to get a proper strip CFL or two for photos, and to make things like pruning and trich analysis easier.)

A few answers and suggestions. You are growing a strain that physically gets larger and takes longer to finish than say your White Crack. Apples and Oranges. Recycling Coco, not a fan of it. If you had any issue with previous grows, pH, or bugs....you just keep that train rolling. GH nutes, anything else to help flowering? Back your light off, it is burning them. Expect that plant to go 90+100 days. It is just starting to flower. You can help improve your future grows by actually feeding your plants much sooner. You use Coco. And Rapid Rooters don't have enough food, as you suggested they do. By the looks of your pictures, you overwatered from the beginning. The pictures of a 2 week old plant look like mine on day 4. Don't take this the wrong way, your plant is about where it should be due to grower errors. If you want to speed things up next grow, do it in the First 2 weeks of life, that determines how Autos actually do .

I disagree with some of this and there's a few things I've said in the thread which you've misread or skipped over, resulting in some misconceptions, but I very much appreciate the rest, and the fact that you bothered to reply at all, of course. I'll take it all into account. Thanks!

Those plants are looking great, Exivious! Nice work with them. I think you are going to be very very happy with the results!
