New Grower Second "first time" grow attempt. Continuous until Succesful harvest.

lowes carrys promix have you tried them? maybe home depot? one of those might be closer?

They can both be used for starting seeds. They have some starter nutes in them but I find that the plants use that up in about the first 2 weeks, so I start light feeding then. They can be used as they are or amended with some worm castings, manure, guano, etc. If you get the Sunshine mix, look for their #4 mix.

It seems as if ProMix BX is about 90 miles away and Sunshine Mix is about 45 miles away.
Assuming I can get either one ( i will make some calls, hopefully i can find some closer than that)
Will I need to amend it in anyway?
Will I be able to put germed seeds straight into it? or will I need to use a seed starter like Thompson & Morgan Seed Starter?

Pro Mix comes out of Canada, so being closer Lowes and Home Depot may have it. Here in the South they don't.

Ok, I found some ProMix BX within a reasonable driving distance. I have been needing to go over to that area anyway.
I am going to get some within the next week.
As it stands today, the plants I have going still do not seem to need water according to the 2nd knuckle & Accurate8.
When they need watering again, do you suggest a the Grow Big @ 1/4 strength or???

Always safe to start with 1/4 because do to the fact that their autoflowers they don't have the same recovery time as photo strains

On another note I read promix bx does not require you to ph your water/soil is this true?

ya know if you talk to the manager of the closest big box store about carrying one product or another most times you can get them to carry it.

Good, glad you found some Pro Mix. Also see if you can pick up some worm castings to mix in with the Pro Mix.

One more feeding of Grow Big certainly shouldn't hurt. Maybe coax a little more vertical growth out of them.

Not true. Proper pH is just as important with Pro Mix as any other growing medium.

I see some changes.
I gave all them a 1/3 dose of Grow Big today in their feeding.
They seem to be responding well to the nutes.
Here are pics from this morning.
The pic names have how old they are, but seeing that the first four are definitely stunted that may not mean alot.

Nothing new to report really.
I am just trying to get in the habit of good grow journaling.
The male WJ was executed yesterday as I have a ways to go before I try my hand at breeding.
Tomorrow I should be able to make the drive to get the ProMix BX and some containers.

Oh yeah for those that are curious, the "UI PHOTO" is the one seed from all the buds a friend supplied out his own photo grows to help me out while I am trying to get my auto grows together. I had tossed it in a saucer in my garage that had some water in it not even thinking about it. About a week later I noticed it in the saucer already sprouted and almost no water left in the saucer. I decided it desreved a chance to live.
