Indoor Second Auto Grow - AA, RRF, DinaFem Haze, and Pineapple Express

Back again for some Wednesday pics after a fairly uneventful week. The Haze still seems unhappy but I'm not sure what to do with her. I've been giving her some extra veg nutes because of the yellowing, so we'll see if she greens back up. With roughly a month to go, it's too early to start losing fan leaves yet. She's also had some canoeing of the upper fans, but none of the other girls are having problems so I don't think it's anything to do with the conditions in the tent. Temps range from about 72-82, humidity is 45-55%, the pH of all 4 pots has been steady in the 6.4-6.6 range, and they're all the same distance from the lights. Tonight I'm going to give her a little flush just to make sure there are no toxicity issues, then I'll just start back up with the bloom nutes and calmag until harvest. Fortunately she's still packing on the buds & she's covered in trichs from top to bottom, so I'm not too worried. The RRF is fat little stump of buds, and she really frosted up nicely this week. I haven't looked at the trichs yet, but she'll be the first to go sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. I can't wait to see how fat that main cola gets. :smoke:

The younger plants are coming on a little more slowly, but they're flowering nicely now. I'm still seeing vertical growth, so they'll get at least one more good feeding of veg nutes before I switch them over. The PE has loads of bud sites, and the AA has now passed the DFH in height. Still not a whole lot going on with the smell, but the other day I could have sworn I got a whiff of pineapple while watering the PE. Probably just my imagination, though, as the buds just have a regular green cannabis smell. Here are the pics:

loving the variety i think you may be right with the veg nutes but i would dose already if you have not with mg. When you add perlite you do remove nutrient from the potting mix and feed needs to be adjusted to suit maybes the haze is just extra greedy to be honest i could see it finishing in 2 weeks. Some of those leafs will drop now as there passed the point of no return and are shifting the nutrient into to the buds due to little in the media just make sure the newer growth do not show signs.
You probs know know this already but its my 2 cents on the situation.
Its happened to me before normally the first stages of the plant converting to flower it requires a large dose of mg and if its not in the soil it takes it from older growth then the leafs yellow and die I always dose with mg week 3-4 to prevent this issue
hope this helps

Sweet! I like the look of that RRF. Does it really have a distinct smell or is it too early to say?
Nice update bud

Thx agito. I have been hitting them pretty heavy with the CalMag, and the Haze has even gotten some extra. At least 2 tsp per gallon a couple of times per week. The bottom line is that she just seems to be a greedy and somewhat temperamental girl, and she's not happy with getting the same treatment as the others. :D I also have my doubts about her harvest date. The breeder notes say it can run 80+ days, but there's no way this one has another 5 weeks to go. Regardless, I've done about all I can do at this point so she'll just have to flower the rest of the way and I'll get what I get.

Snooch, the RRF has been hardcore cat piss the whole way through, but when I touch the buds I get a piney/skunky scent on my fingers. The notes say it has some kind of fuel or fruit aroma, but I'm not picking up any of that yet.

Nice update bud

then im a bit lost maybes to much cal/mag i only dose once mid grow but Im sure you will figure it out
regardless you should have some good buds soon!

That RRF is all cola haha. Nice photo shoot AB! If that is a nute def then that is one hungry haze you have there. That AA is looking like it is going to put on a massive cola as well. Is that nute burn on the leaves of the RRF or just natural leaf degredation? Just wondering what I should be looking for come harvest time as far as how the leaves wilt and yellow. I hope that hint of pineapple smell was a sign of the PE scent to come!

Looking good brother, keep it up! Good Bud Kharma sent your way!

Yeah, that's why I'm going to give her a bit of a flush tonight before reevaluating. I know that it's easy to overdue it with calmag, but I was fighting mag deficiencies throughout my last grow so I may have gone too far in the other direction this time. But the other plants have been happy with it so I'm not sure. Last grow when my pH went off the rails I pretty much lost all my fan leaves with a few weeks to go, and the buds still turned out very nice. So I'm definitely not stressing too much about the Haze, especially since the other 3 are looking good so I know it's specific to the plant, not my setup.

Hey Roller, there is definitely some nute splash on the lower leaves of the RRF. It's so damn bushy that I almost need another set of hands to get access to the soil. I'm often tending the plants late at night when I'm tired and lacking in patience, so splashes do happen (there's a couple on the AA and PE too). There is a touch of yellowing starting on the lower fans, though, which seems to be normal for her age. She'll probably get 2 more doses of bloom nutes which should have enough N to keep them going until I start the final flush in a week or two.

They all look amazing bro! FYI on the Hazes... I have been told they are more difficult to grow and are way more high maintenence... Seems to be the case for you... That she's being very picky. Mostly looks like natural progression to me. They are some stunners bro! Top notch as always!

The countdown to harvest continues, so here's another update. I'll go into a little more detail about each plant this time since they're all far enough along to make it worthwhile.

DinaFem Haze - Day 54

Well, the breeder's notes have this one listed at 70-80 days, but there's no way she's making it that long. I've been fighting to give this temperamental girl what she needs throughout the grow, and I guess she finally got tired of dealing with me and decided to finish on her own timetable. I've got one more of these seeds, and when I grow it I'm going to hammer it with nutes. I just never could keep up with her by giving the same feeding schedule that the RRF got. The veg nutes last week seem to have stopped the fan leaves from getting any worse, and she's continuing to flower nicely. The main cola and large side buds are rock hard, but I'm hoping they'll thicken up some more in the coming week. I didn't take the time to set up the tripod and get some proper trichome shots, but I included a quick & dirty that shows just how much amber there is already. The last bloom nutes were given on day 50, and yesterday I watered with a tsp of molasses. She'll get clear water for the rest of the way, which I'm hoping I can stretch for at least another 10 days. The aroma is a dead ringer for lemon scented Pinesol.

Cousin Itt aka Stumpy is still packing on the bud. I'm being generous when I say this girl is a foot tall, but she's making the most out of every inch. The main cola is very chunky and it's starting to firm up nicely. It's hard to tell from the pics, but there are a couple of side buds that are really thick also. I've been checking the trichs with my scope and they're mostly cloudy, so this one doesn't have too much further to go. I gave the last bloom nutes on day 50 and she got a touch of burn on the leaf tips, so I think she's telling me that it's time to wrap it up. She got water and molasses yesterday, and we're now in the final flush as the fans start to yellow. I still don't really pick up any of the distinctive diesel aroma, but she's definitely gotten smellier in recent days. Mainly just an earthy, skunky smell with a tiny bit of fruitiness.

Pineapple Express - Day 44

I'm really loving the way that this one is turning out. Nice bushy pheno with lots of bud sites & a big cola. I'm just starting to see some trichs forming on the upper buds, and now that she's on bloom nutes I expect to see some major weight gain in the next couple of weeks. I'm still not positive whether or not this is actually the Auto Assassin since it's got thinner, sativa-like leaves and no sign of fruit in the nose. But either way I think this will be an excellent yield. No cannabis smell at all unless you touch a bud, and even then it's just a very mild weedy smell.

Auto Assassin - Day 44

This one is the leggy girl of the bunch, and she'll be the biggest yielder of all if she can fill out that frame with bud. The bud that has formed already is covered in crystals, so I'm hoping that this will be a real THC monster. She's just getting going with her steady diet of bloom nutes, so fingers crossed for the next few weeks. One thing I've noticed is that this one has a similar smell as the RRF, which makes me think that perhaps I do have it labeled correctly as one of Stitch's strains. I keep waiting for the smoking gun that will determine once and for all which is the real PE/AA, but still nothing definitive. So for now I'll just wait and keep admiring this happy & healthy girl.
