Extraction Say NO to the ARDENT LIFT DECARBOXYLATOR!!!! Say yes to sous vide instead and save your money

Do you use it to decarb? Decarb rosin?

I use it to decarb bud.
Never done oils in it.

It does what it’s supposed to
I use a vacuum sealed bag, once grated the goods....
Then follow the info on the internet with temp and decarb time

I then use the magical butter machine to finish it off to infuse with coconut oil mainly.
End product is good and it’s all fairly easy

Quick question for those pressing to make rosin for edibles....

Has anyone tried doing the decarb first, when it's still plant matter and then pressing it? Would it matter when in the process it happens as far as the end result goes?

I'm wondering because regarding the rosin leaking out of the silicone container, if you could decarb as flower you could just put the plant material directly into the vacuum bag and straight in the sous vide.

Just curious. :chimp:

:yeahthat: and if you use a loose enough bag, there should be room for the pot to gas out and decarboxylate.

I know what you mean. That would not work. But thanks for checking out ideas. I think a hard shell container is the way to go. Put the rosin in the silicon as per usual, and put that in a waterproof, heat resistant small container with some weight in it and drop it in the sous vide. I bought a waterprooof match container from a camping place today but it was too small for my silicon containers. Also bought a plastic screw top container but it almost felt like jelly after 30 minutes in the sous vide. I'm going to go around town tomorrow and find look for some other ideas.

Aluminum (anodized) heats evenly and is safely used in cooking. Mine holds about 1/8+ of bud, cost a couple of bucks and is waterproof. It would be pretty easy to half fill it with rosin and dangle it in water.

Then I realized that this might work, too:
Mine holds 2-3oz of bud.

What's that in the bottom pic? Looks like a trim bin. I've seen a pic of that before but can't place it.

I'm still looking at things to dangle in the h2o. Had another sous vide leak today but it was minor. Learning as I go.

That's a C-Vault. You probably saw it here:

I have a smaller one too that is right for an oz or more of bud, but actually I keep concentrates and isolates in it.

Just mad some coconut oil this morning with stuff that kinda old and wasnt gonna smoke. Put some rosin chips in too. Decarbed in lift, was worried I put to mich in. Put some oil in my ice cube molds and ate 1 1/2 which is roughly .6oz just ate which some hot water at 645. Its 856 and im get the 1st wave, it's a mix of different stuff so this should be gooood! @lunarman were you able to decarb anything, bud or rosin? What about a nuwave conduction cook top? I have 1 it keeps oil for frying at a precise temp I will see how low it go's. You could just decarb rosin in oil but need to use a conductive pot. Anybody try?

Hey @Mcdee

You flying on those meds yet? LOL.

I decarb'd again in the sous vide. I used a small silicon tub to hold the Rosin as per usual. That stuff is weak walled, soft, loose etc. So I put an elastic band around it. Then I put all that in a large heavy duty waterproof match container. I did a test run first actually with no rosin. Seemed to be OK. But with 0.5g or rosin at 200F for 1.50 hours. It worked without leaking but it was close. The hard body match container is warped now and eventually will leak on the threads. And the silcon just barely held on and didn't leak. I can't even use the containers another time.

Not sure I'll try the 'wet' decarb again. Need a leak proof silicon screw top container that doesn't leak when hot and under a bit of pressure.

I'm going to try my rosin press plate again. If that does not work perfectly for me, then I'm going to have a bake sale to raise funds for the ardent lift decarb box.

Good thing I have a lot of chocolate to eat and a good 3g of rosin standing by.

I am getting higher no idea how strong it is yet but I'm getting fucked as I write bahahaha. Wow HAVE A BAKE SALE, WHORE YOURSELF SELF OUT, but get a lift this is so nice. I did no work just put in closed hit button. The cool thing is bud smells decarbed, but can still smell the natural smell of the bud. Still smells like when put in oven, but much more natural less of cooked smell. It may be the perfect decarb, but looks very easy to duplicate. I saw on another site that some one said a 8oz canning jar fits in it where the little container for bud go's. This will make interesting tests if I can find anyone else that's has got any success trying it. But already worth the money, because I know it will work.
