And still it's a practice that's as old as the seed industry itself...As soon as you buy the seeds, they're yours to do with what you want. That's why so many seedhouses stepped over to feminized as they thought it would stop that practice. Wrong! Of course the knowledge of turning a female, male would come out sooner or later. Luckily it was sooner as many of us would otherwise never gotten into the breeding hobby.Pollen chucking and ripping strains to sell is generally frowned upon in the community.
I know for a fact that @Sawney_bean doesn't mind you breeding with his genetics, but the fact that the seeds were being sold as his cultivars, name and all is what was wrong about the whole situation!
That's true, but only applies to show 'n grow seeds. We actually have a rule in the cultivators club that prohibits breeding with free seeds as well.
Here you hit the nail on the head. @Sawney_bean is one such example of a man that likes to share, not for monetary gain or acknowledgement, but just for the sheer happiness it brings to newbies and experienced growers alike, that's something that gives this man pleasure.A lot of effort goes into breeding, and some breeders are kind enough to share free seeds with us.
@uk420man, I applaud your coming out the dark and being honest too all. I see your cultivator badge has been taken away and even though it's not me you wronged, I find this punishment enough. Actually, my opinion to this case doesn't matter at all! The only person who has the right to speak is Sawney himself. And as old as he is, so is his generosity...
Keep the seeds and give 'm away to newbies so they have an opportunity to enjoy this hobbyIf they are of any use to anyone in the U.K. then they are yours, I have apologised to Sawney regarding this and removed the listings from Strainly
