yea its bollocks what they charge for some beans they no diffrent just a fancy name slight diff smell thats why i dont buy mephisto any more grow 6 diffrent girls all where nothing great no more tasty or smelly then seedstockers which are half the price :smoking:

The price is determined by the market... If there are people who are willing to pay such a high price the seller won't change it. The same for Mephisto, they have created a niche in the market by creating curiosity among the people. Doing 'drops' and limiting the amount of seeds they make available creates for a still larger interest among buyers/growers.
Take me for example... I won't pay 46€ for three seeds, no way!! But after being gifted a couple of Mephisto S1 seeds they got on my radar. So much even that every time Mephisto posts the next drop on AFN I'm sure to check it and ask when they will be selling in the EU again. Now that Seedsman does have packs of Mephisto available I'm still holding off until I see something that tickles my interest and even then I'll have to think twice about it before I go for purchase...
No dis meant to Mephisto of course as this is their sales pitch and they have customers enough, but still food for thought...Look at grows done with Linda's Seeds genetics @1.5$ a seed...

I'm with you 100% brother.. maybe there are lots of rich growers out there dropping £180 on a 7 pack who knows.. on Mephisto.. is it still buy a 3 pack but get a 5 pack and a freebie or 2?? Cuz thats what made them value for me back in the day.. I wouldn't order 3 for €46.. but if I knew I was getting 5/6 it would sway me. I haven't ordered any of their stuff for probably couple years now purely because there was none then we had the 'drops' scenario which of course continues.. they're genetics are off the map.. but I'm just not interested in chasing the drops to be honest.. although I take your point on generating interest as I did look a couple of times when I got the odd email about a drop so it got my attention.. I've grown some real value seeds over the years with good results.

Only reason I had them was to do a grow and show for Dutch passion,
It was really tasty too
Had 2 left and gave one to sawney, kept the other for s special occasion, if I get a tent going in the future IL grow it there,

That's something I would like to know as well. Since I can only order through seedsman I don't know if they give the freebees you get when you order direct from Mephisto. Maybe @stan_mephisto could shine a light on this?

I have some real original OG regular Autoflowers I'm going to feminize so I may find what I'm looking for in them. The Bruce banner #3 photoperiod is the one to get if you like photoperiod banner strains. There are so many cuts and phenotypes of every strain out there. May I add that it's so frustrating to grow a "diesel" plant that has no terps that resembles "diesel" No! Just stop it! This is one reason I make strains. To get what I want .
