Indoor Savoy's White Sirius Test Grow.

Look around and see if you can locate some Pro Mix or some Sunshine #4. Go soil less and take control of your grows.

Thanks for the advice guys think I'm going to do that, guess its time to take the training wheels off. Yeah muddy I can't wait to try it, I'm getting pretty tired of purple mazar. It gets it done but a year of the same weed gets old. I liked how fruity it is, but I dying for some skunky weed. I saw it described as skunky somewhere in here. What would you say about the flavor?

Ultra Stealth Grow Closet

I've been sick as hell for days and couldn't take sitting around waiting to feel better any more. So I started building my new grow room, its going to be sweet. I ran wires, nice leveled base, moisture resistant dry wall all super stealth tucked into my stairs. When its done there'll be pegboard over top. Should have enough room for like 8 plants that can get tall, as well as a dozen plant nursery to the left and a storage cubby for water and soil etc.

The best part is that's its made almost entirely of remodeling scraps and stuff I could use from the demolition, so it cost.... $30! Now the equipment upgrades on the other hand won't be so cheap haha.

Here's some in progress pics:

It was just dried so won't have it's full flavor till cured a bit more. Still tasted a bit green. Watch your humidity, I got a bit of mold on a couple of lower buds.

This grow is officially a totall mess and over.

I checked in on the grow last night to see who needed water and found my shortest full of white fuzzy mold. I read that in the last couple weeks of flower this can happen to really dense buds. My humidity has been a steady 50% for a while now but the plant itself while only 8" tall was all bud, like a large softball probably the highest yield of the bunch too. It seemed like it was a bushy pheno that never actually branched out but then budded like it had.

I checked the other three and saw no signs of mold, but being as its a very small space I decided to play it safe and chop a week and a half early for fear of spores digging into all that moist bud. They were all pretty yellow anyway. I'm glad this jacked up grow is behind me and I can start fresh. I did leave the branches that are making seeds to go for another couple weeks while I wrap up my new grow closet.

Sorry for the lack of pics this go around but they were never very good looking plants. It looks like I'll be lucky if my dry weight is over 2 oz for three plants, in the past I averaged 1.5 per.

Not to brag but my first two grows were pretty successful so I guess this one I learned a lot with all the problems I've had. I read through my previous journals and realized how much more attention I was paying for the duration. This one was so frustrating I think my interest was not there. They were stunted and crappy from jump street so It was hard to get into this one. I kinda just wanted it to be over the whole time.

Anyhow assuming the drying buds don't turn up covered in mold I'll post dry weights and a smoke report on the white Sirus. And my next grow will start in a couple weeks in my new awesome grow closet. No more worries about plant height I've got 5 feet to work with from now on.
If any mods read this I think from this point on I'm going to just have one thread for all grows going forward, I don't know how cool or not it is to start a new thread each grow. Anyhow thanks for reading along hopefully next time I'll have some plants worth drooling over. I think it's going to be northern lights and White Sirus since they can be as tall as they want now.

My lighthouse 90w veg led comes tomorrow, and the new grow closet is nearly complete.

Oh man that light is sweet! Well built and unbelievably bright. Can't wait to see how t grows. I'm hitting the hydro store tomorrow going to pick up Sunshine #4, Advanced nutes, I'd like to grab the ph perfect base if they have it. If not they definitely carry the brand so I'll get the best base kit they have. Some other odds and ends too. Really looking forward to the next grow.

My dry weight was 1 oz, blows! That's 3 plants. Guh....

New Grow Closet Running!!!

I am finished building and setting up my new grow space. I wish I'd built this from the start given the expense of building 2 grow spaces, but there's a lot of things I've learned in a year of growing that I wouldn't have known ahead of time so I'm confident this is a pretty ideal setup for my purposes. Lesson one, don't try to work around paying for purpose built quality equipment, none of my previous DIY inventions paid off, they all got replaced with better stuff with much better efficiency.

After getting it all set up I did a full power test run and temps are in the high 80's on a cool night in my basement... so it seems my little 80cfm bathroom fan is not going to cut it in this space so I ordered a 400 cfm inline fan as the final upgrade. At least I'll have my old box fully equipped and able to run for breeding purposes.

Here's the specs followed by pics:

2' x 6' footprint, 5' max height.
Veg area is 2'x2'x2', Flower area is 4'x5'x2' (more or less, the ceiling is slanted)
Lighting: 90w lighthouse LED for veg, 450w hps cool tube for flower
Ventilation: 6" 400cfm Hydrofarm inline fan w/ speed control, CAN 33 carbon filter, 2"x8" passive intake with baffle
Its lined with bubble wrap mylar bought from a chain hardware store.
And the best part is that its SUPER stealth!

My next grow better not suck as hard as this one did.
