One thing is generally you won't overwater by giving the plant to much water at once versus watering to frequently that's what causes overwatering symptoms the most and it's easy to do... I usually just wait until my bottom leaves start dropping a bit before watering just to be safe personally.

I was just thinking, are you letting the plants sit in the water when you feed? That will cause some problems. When I grow in a tent I usually use an old oven rack to keep my plants up above my catch basin. I've seen guys do all kinds of different setups just so there plants don't sit down in that run off water.
Yeah good call especially if the environment is kind of cool and humid and evaporation is haulted. If my plants are scrogged im lazy and just toss in a towel or two to soak up the water but smaller plants that are movable I just take to the tub or sink.
