For sure brother! Just don't overdo it. You can always top dress some more later on
I was just going to go with the measurements from biotabs so I'm making 50 litres of lightmix soil with another 10 l of perlite these are for my autopotsFor sure brother! Just don't overdo it. You can always top dress some more later on
Thanks for all the tips Bob also another question regarding the tabs do you put them in straight away or wait slightly as I will pot my solo cups up at around day 10 so they will be well established photos and Auto's as I will be using the same mixture on both so let me know your thoughts my friendThat is AOK brother!! Exactly how I would do it...Better to keep it on the low side and build up with one or two top dressings over time, but I think you'll be all right as you are. Remember, the Silicium Flash' main purpose is to deliver the initial nutrients while the bacteria are converting the tabs. And if you let it brew a couple of days/weeks before use the bacterial cultures from the Startrex will have multiplied more then enough, just keep the soil moist while brewing. Remember, were working with live material and measurements are kinda moot as you'll never exactly know how many are in there. There's no good or wrong in Organics, as long as the soil is happy, your plants will be happy
I can only recommend you add one more thing...And you've might have guessed it...Compost worms, just a handful will do. They will keep your soil aerated, while feeding and multiplying...
I would add the tabs as soon as you pot the seedlings in it. I know, I'm currently in the situation where my tabs are already in the soil, but that's because the sprouts had failed because of the compost mites. We'll see how that turns out...Thanks for all the tips Bob also another question regarding the tabs do you put them in straight away or wait slightly as I will pot my solo cups up at around day 10 so they will be well established photos and Auto's as I will be using the same mixture on both so let me know your thoughts my friend
That was my plan also I've been the luckiest grower ever I've never had any disease or pests in my grows besides gnats or fruit fly when I let my media get to wet but I never bring anything in from outside ever so it's worked well so far so I'm really gutted you got this to deal with but as you say you live and learn don't uI would add the tabs as soon as you pot the seedlings in it.
