Alright here are two seedlings that were transplanted from soil to perlite. I rinsed the roots gently and planted them in their new home. I lightly watered with a very mild solution of liquid seaweed. I think the containers will be fine for my space.

These are the nutes I picked up. does any body have experience with using them in a hempy or other passive hydro system?

First off teflon let me say sorry to hear about the bug issue man. I have been reading about it just not time to really post what i want to about it and the others seem to have helped you fantastically along the rough journey. I know its tough to remove plants that you have worked so hard on, i have had a few times my self. Like Wiz said though you grow a mean AF so it had to be something in the room and not your skills.

I like the fact that you are trying something new, and with the results that K21 has in them i think that you will be pleased with the results.

As far as the line of nutes you have i use them exclusively when i am not running my teas and water only tests. I have used them in the past in DWC, and in aeroponics and they worked like a charm for me. I still to this day use the hydro formula GB in my soil :)

Big Bloom - this shit will save a dying root system. On my very first attempt at hydro i let the Res get way to hot, instant root rot. So i did my research and saw that this could assist in cleaning the roots. I soaked the plants roots in a mixed up 4 gal bucket and with in an hour the leaves started standing up and the brown color of the roots lightened. Needless to say i was able to harvest that plant. was my first attempt at hydro and that stuff saved me. So if you run into a root problem this stuff is golden. Also it will increase the smell of the plants when used with TB. I use pure kelp no in place of the Big Bloom and seems to do the magic just the same.

Grow Big - steroids for your girls. This was the sole key to my success in autos. They love this stuff but in the right amounts. Grow big is really high in N, its either that or what they use to produce the N. It will make your plants a dark green and give them a fantastic finish. The key to GB is portions. it calls for 2tsp (i think) for a regular feed or re-circulating system. this is the number you need to focous on for autos. Break it down in 1/4. First amount would be 1/4 teaspoon for week two and then .5 teaspoon so on and so forth. Now if they look like they can handle more then feed them.

Tiger Bloom - Be cautious here. I know you said that you got a pump and thats a good thing cause it helps with this additive. Tiger bloom will drop the pH of any solution. I have had it drop my solution 1-2 points on the pH scale and that is a huge difference. So i would recommend starti bubbling your water at a slightly higher pH and then add it in and then take another reading on it. If used right and correctly this stuff will bang the hell out of your buds. Also you want to approach the amounts the same as the GB 1/4 at a time and you will be fine.

Currently i am still using FF i love the stuff and it works like a charm. I know that i am not using hempy or passive hydro right now but my medium is light enough and airy enough that it might as well be perlite with dirt mixed in. My soil allows passage of water with ease. I can pour it in and then hear it drain with almost no delay. So its going to be about the same feel as you have just with nothing holding the water as long as the soil does. You would just have to water more frequent that i do.

Hope this helps you a little my man and i hope that you licked that bug issue. karma sent for the new journey.

Thanks for the input FD. I said it before in the art of the auto thread and I will say it again here. You guys have been the best resource and support period.

Well here is the next step in the evolution of my hempy experiment.
pump.jpgbublin.jpgbubblebuckets.jpg
Those are 4 inch airstones and the pump is a dual output for up to 60 gallon tanks. I think I am going to run 4 buckets per pump. Right now my hole is about 2 and 1/2 inches from the bottom but I think I can move it up another inch or so.
Any one have any input?

i would have to agree, FF is great, and the tiger bloom is fantastic.... but like he said watch the PH carefully when using it
