damn thai your on a roll tonight brother you must be hittin up the good shit damn
i dont think it will hurt it but depending on the spectrum it might be pointless to have added. but usally more light never hurts as long as the temps stay good.
CMH is a good way to go, they burn cooler than HPS and MH too. So better temps in the room.
If they only had one in a 600.
I too think that you will be fine ripster. i currently am running mixed and have been for the last 6-8 months. My main is a 250watt hps and my sides are 55 watt T5 or 12 i can't remember but the bulbs are 6700k. So i am running both blue and red in there at all times. I think it helps. You do fantastic with the t5's some of my fav grows so i think this will add some love to the plants in a good way.
If you think about it CMH bulbs give off blue all the way through red even with the color temp being 6500k or so the plants get all spectrums across the board. below is a chart of the CMH (retro white) compared to the right HPS bulb.
I think i am going to give one a go and see how they do my self.
i think lsting them would help more then the extra light on trying to save some cash on the power bill. but secondary lighting for the most part is a good idea. the other guys here would be able to help you better then i can.
i just added a blue spec secondary light of a t5 my self to my room and its working good for me but i dont worry about the power bill.
I'm a little out of it when it comes to the bulbs. So This may be a dumb, but does "CMH" stand for compact metal halogen?
Dude, I guess your the man with the lighting questions. Good answer. See, I knew there was a reason I joined this site. Thanks man!
mixing spectrums is always better... but sounds like you'll be ok... may get a little more stretch as flowering spectrum tends to do that... but higher intensity... indoors... almost never a bad thing!I'm trying to get more light to the outside/middle of the plant, without spending any money. If you think this is pointless, then I might take it down. It is costing me more to operate. But I can see more light going though the plant, than before. I don't know, that's why I posted.
So sorry brother. I've lost friends too, some to violence. Gotta keep a cool head. Best thing you could do for him is look after his family. Revenge feels good in the short term but just restarts the cycle of violence which always comes back around...
Be there for his family now and forever in memory of him. Losing a family member at a young age is devastating.
Take care, watch your back, keep your head on straight.
Peace my brother peace.
