I too think that you will be fine ripster. i currently am running mixed and have been for the last 6-8 months. My main is a 250watt hps and my sides are 55 watt T5 or 12 i can't remember but the bulbs are 6700k. So i am running both blue and red in there at all times. I think it helps. You do fantastic with the t5's some of my fav grows so i think this will add some love to the plants in a good way.

If you think about it CMH bulbs give off blue all the way through red even with the color temp being 6500k or so the plants get all spectrums across the board. below is a chart of the CMH (retro white) compared to the right HPS bulb.

I think i am going to give one a go and see how they do my self.

CMH is a good way to go, they burn cooler than HPS and MH too. So better temps in the room.

If they only had one in a 600. :(

thats what i was reading too. Ripster can duplicate this with a multi spectrum set up as he stated and still have the cool temps of fluorescents

but i agree the CMH is the way to go and since i have a 250 i can get me one. Will be nice in the summer when the garage heats up should save on me running the AC
 
i just added a blue spec secondary light of a t5 my self to my room and its working good for me but i dont worry about the power bill.

I try to harvest right when I see amber, but usually can't harvest right then and there so it ends up being a few days & about 10% amber.
Haven't found a strain yet that's bad at that point

I find that I can harvest an Afghan @ about 7 weeks and get good meds..With energy..
which I Need..
But..the Ambers were a Hell of a lot more potent for the muscle spasms...and..
it wasn't Couch-Lok..which I was really Surprised at..
it was a Very UP high.
It actually made me feel WELL...

I had no negativity with it..
BUT..someone on the house is Banned from it..as it gives them acute paranoia.
I Honestly think that it is just Too strong for them..
leads to unmerciless Nagging...Nuff said.

id have to say that the black on black does it for me my friend. I love bobbys girl but the dragon takes it for me too. There is something about all that black color.

:DThis crazy guy is over on my thread singing puff the magic dragon!!! I think the dragons done bit him. I never thought my little girl would get this much attention brings a tear to my eye.
