I have a Witch Doctor on day 29 been on the reservoir since day 18.

I removed the tray cover today and can see roots in the tray. I didn't pick the pot up but, at least one root has escaped the pot.

Should I be concerned about them getting into valve?

If so any suggestions?

I have a root disk in the pot gold face down.

Hi TG ^_^

The roots would either need to cause the valve to be stuck up (which would stop the water coming in) or stuck down, (which would flood your grow area ) to cuase a problem.

I've never had roots come out before - but that's what i'd be watching out for.

I don't know if it's a good idea to prune those roots or not - I'll leave that notion for someone more experimental that me

Thanks for the reply blue!!

I'm with ya on the pruning idea, that will be last resort for sure.

I was thinking about tucking it back under the pot. Try to get it to grow away from the valve.

I would t worry about it. Happened too me ALL the time when I was using autopots. Just remember too put the matrix screen in next time

i put my gold thing face up in the res tray and I have never had roots escape out but if you have if they go crazy and are going to interfere with the valves id prune them but if its just a couple I wouldn't worry

Thanks everyone!!! Always good to get experiences from others!!!!

Think I'll try and direct them bwack the other way and if it seem to be getting cout of hand I'll snip em.
