Indoor Root Rot Pics in DWC

I've been dealing with this problem for a few weeks now. I use hydrogen peroxide to treat the problem, and it does a good job of cleaning up the brown shit all over my roots, but then it comes back again after a few days. I don't know what to do next and this is the first time its been a recurring issue for me in DWC system. :twist:

bennie tea. that's the best way to get rid of it.

Take 2 handfuls of Ancient Forest and 3 tablespoon of molasses and fill a 5 gallon bucket with 4 gallons of water and bubble it for 24-48 hours. Then put 1 cup per gallon into your res to fight the slime, and then 1 cup per 10 gallons for maintenance. Ancient Forest has thousands of species of bacteria, etc, that fight the slime. I've had AMAZING success with it, as have many, many other people in hydro.

EC are you using a root stimulator,? THat might help, how many liters per min are you pumping into your buckets? What nutes/EC are you using?

Medicine man What is ancient forest and where can you get it?

Ancient Forest is a compost that comes from the forest floor in Alaska, basically humus. You can get it at pretty much any grow shop, and if you have a local garden center, too, you can ask them for something similar. For example, here with our paper mills, we have an area of the state that is acres and acres large and dozens of feet deep of lumber and papermill byproduct that's been decomposing for decades. It's black as black can be and is sold to fit the same needs as Ancient Forest. I can just happen to buy it by the yard for like twice the cost of a small bag of AF. But... I can't use a whole yard of it, so I just buy a bag. It's like 15-18 bucks for the bag.

Do you have any kind of myco product on hand? I use Great White and Orca in my buckets to fix and prevent slime/root rot.

I use vodoo juice from Advanced nutrient. Its a beneficial bacteria. But I cant use it when I use the peroxide because it kills it. I only use advance nutrients so far. And I dont pump water into by buckets. the buckets are the resevoir and the roots rest in the water.

toss that voodoo juice and make your own tea. SOOOO much cheaper for the same thing.

Since you already have the voodoo juice I would just use it. It will work just fine. Forget peroxide ever existed and keep the voodoo in the buckets. Sure when that runs out there are cheaper alternatives.
