New Grower Roleadro COB--Rookie

Day-54- Happy Sunday to all. I'm going to quit worrying so much about my leaves:hothot:. I had another long look in the infirmary threads, lots, to say the least, of different leave problems, colors, shapes, spots,:deadhorse: bugs, freaks, cuts, and, you name it. I could only imagine the nightmare of threads these staff people get, mostly volunteers, from people like me! Those people do a hell of a job, thank you. I still haven't learned how to copy & paste yet. They tell you exactly how they want it done, but people like me just kinda freaks out and dives in blindly:dizzy:! Thanks to All that has given me advice, not only the staff. Now, back to Lollita and Ruby. Temp's at 77f, RH at 51% this AM. Lollita looks ok, her buds are getting frostier and growing into one another, her aroma has finally made its appearance! Lots of leave tucking. Ruby is looking good.:jointman:

Hello Rick-J,

Your grow looks great. I agree with you about not sweating the Cal-Mag deficiency if that is your problem. I too have some spotting and some leaf curl, but hey that is all in a grow...some go better than others, at least for me. I try to correct the issues and move on.

Lolitta is looking great starting to stack and that frost. I LOVE frost!!!

Great job!!!

Day- 56- Temp's at 72f, RH at 57% 100_2148.JPG for Lollita, Day24 for Ruby, her Temp's at 72 f, Rh at 86%100_2143.JPG Why is the RH so much higher for Ruby, maybe because the meter is sitting on top of the soil? I am trying to keep my hands off the plants, Way to much worrying and unneeded stress, This hobby can be very relaxing and rewarding if you let it, you get damn good, cheep smoke also. I'm giving my self a pep talk, I went into the Twilightzone for a min.! @FullAuto245 , I went to the infirmary and got some expert advice, you were right about that Cal-Mag, he said, DON'T get carried away with that stuff, more is not all ways better! Thanks for your help. @wagon , thanks also so much for your kind words of encouragement! I watered the girls yesterday. 8 ml. of Sensi Bloom A&B per. gal.,- 4 ml. per. gal. of Bud Candy and Overdrive, went down to 5 ml. Cal- Mag+ all in RO bubbled water with a ph of 6.5. I raised the light to 27". Happy Growing--:jointman:

@MedCzech , thanks for all that good light info. Sorry about the other thread, when you get time, do you think it would be a better grow if I switched to the full spectrum Platinum- P- 300? Would it hurt to change lights at day 56? I turned off 2 cobs. Will that meter work with the p-300 or does it only work with cobs? Lots of questions, thanks again for your help.

All good bro. The cobs are ok, we just don't want to cook those ladies too much. No worries though. She looks nice right now, and once plants get into full flower, they can handle so much more light than before. They oils and resins act like a sun screen and allow them to take much more. The big girl looks fine. The little one looks good too. Let's seee what happens with the one cob off.

Day-58 and 25--- I got new info on my cobs, put a different light in my tent, P-300, turned it on, then turned it off.:shrug:I went back to 2 cobs instead of 4. I wish I could separate them but I can't. I will keep tryin! I might have been burning my plants with all 4 cobs on.:face: I can't just run 1 cob at a time, it has to be at least 2 cobs at 1/2" apart. I still have that other light hanging in the tent, P-300, just waiting for me to give up completely on those cobs. No new spots on the smaller leaves, buds are lookin good and frostieee! Temp's are ok at 76f with those 2 cobs on all night, RH at 67% this AM. I moved the light up to 30". Lights, I have to worry about heat, that's why I want LED'S. I get to excited sometimes when things go wrong, even my dog tells me to chill--- One of these days it will all come naturally, These LED'S can grow a good healthy crop, a few more harvest and I should have the correct height on those lights, It takes a while for me, or maybe just invest in some Auto COB's:greenthumb:Ruby is growing just like a weed!--------Happy Growing---:jointman:

Lights are part of the fun. I’m sure as you were deciding on lights there were many spirited posts about this vs that and cheap vs expensive. Amazon does not make it easy with all the cheap lights and we’ll written but highly deceptive adds.

A lot of my advice is always buy the most widely used by others in the site that have experience and successfully grows. When you buy anything else it’s almost impossible to get quality and reliable information on what it actually is and how to use it regarding wattage and height. Add the the fact that so many factors effect the final light product.

Auto cobs are the RonCo “set it and forget it” of the growing world. And I always vote that should be anyone’s first light. 1 per plant and go from there. Takes the guess work and worry out if the whole “ wonder if this is right “ part of growing. Hundreds of new and old growers with successful grows under them.

Good karma on your grow.

Hello Rick-J...

Your girls look great. I am sure the the meter sitting on the soil will read higher. I have 4 different RH meters in my room and they all read differently( +/- about 6%), it just depends on their location and height in the room for me.

If you should be looking at new lights everybody will have their opinion and there are lots of great lights that will grow great buds. Just my 2 cents worth but check out the Quantum Boards from HLG. I am on my first grow with them and could not be happier so far. They do not emit much heat, are dimmable and draw about half the power of my old lights, but as they say "the proof is in the pudding" or in this case the harvest. I will know more in about 30 days or so as far as weight and quality of smoke under the quantum boards.

Awesome job so far, best of luck to you.

Hope every one had a fantastic Memorial Day! Temp's at 76f, RH at 56% this AM. Lights are at 27", It's been 5 days now with just 2- 200w COB's on instead of 4, thanks MedCzech. Gave Lollita her last bit of nute's on the 24th. Gave her straight water with lots of overflow yesterday, I will continue that for a couple of weeks until harvest, her pistols are turning brown, its about 30% now. I was getting ready to look at some trichs just for the hell of it, got tangled up inside my tent, almost broke my neck, but instead i broke the 32" tv screen I had hooked up to a old pc with a Carson microscope. It broke my fall! Now it has a bunch of different lines on a black screen. Wow, I guess that is better than breaking my neck. Now I have to snip a bit and bring it in the L.R. to look at trich's, so much work! Thanks to all for:jointman: the good advice from every one!
