Indoor RocBudinc Genetics Purple Rolex DWC

Yeah, he's an old hippy. Cool guy. I've known him for 22 years; since I was a teenager. He loaded bombs on planes. He has lots of good stories from Europe involving mushrooms and hash.
Most of us old hippies are decent folks. I’m sure he’ll appreciate the grow/show... improving on his own skills.

Updates:

I got the tracking number for the shipment yesterday, but they are still not showing as being picked up yet.

I am still on the fence about the lighting, but I am leaning hard towards getting a new light. After seeing Muddy's recent review of his new set up, I am seriously considering going with the Solar System 550 and a controller from California Light Works and maybe even a UVB to go with it.

Before I do anything, though. I have to sort this out:

I think I am going to have to buy this guy a new main panel, and then I'd like to run a dedicated circuit to a sub-panel just for the grow room.
The room is a 5'x5' closet, and I only have 32"x32"x63" tent. We plan on using the entire space after we get a feel for things, but I am not going to do anything until I know the wiring is safe. This panel is a mess. The breakers are not sized correctly, and the two on the left are corroded and falling apart. There is no cover either.

I am going to look over things again with him now and see if I can get this straightened out. I think like I am going to have to break out the credit card(s).

The actual growing part of this journal is not quite to the "I just started soaking my beans" piece. I still have a lot of work to do before I get to that point.

I am getting some new toys. Based on @Muddy's review, I'm going with a California Lightworks SolarSystem 550 with the UVB kit and programmable controller. It is the smaller version of what he has that is more than big enough for my tent, but will fit inside, and should be enough coverage to expand a just little bit before adding another light. The 5-year warranty, small size, and the ability to just add lights to the controller make it well worth the investment. I'm hitting the button on that as soon as I finish this post.
I also plan on getting the Oakton combo Ph/EC/TDS pen meter, and probably all new Advance Nutrients and supplements. I have a question about the nutes/supps posted in the Nutrients forum.

The seed is in transit and should arrive Monday.

Tomorrow I will be going to get stuff to install a new main service panel, for the guy's house and run a dedicated line to a sub-panel for the grow room. I hope to get that installed by the middle of next week, depending on when I can get the power company out to disconnect the line.

I'm interested in seeing how that light works. Subbing. Good luck

Looking forward to watching your grow, excited to see this light in action too. Good luck!

Quick update:
I got the seeds Saturday and I put them in a soak last light.
Lights are on the way, but I have the old CFL setup if needed before the new one gets here. I have not checked the tracking.
I have my sub-panel, breakers, wire, and a couple of outdoor weatherproof "in use" outlets. I still have to run the wire and connect everything.
I plan on getting the electrical done by tomorrow unless something work-related comes up.

I will get some pictures up soon. I just have a lot going on.

Thanks for stopping by!
