Indoor RocBudInc genetics Perpetual SIP earthbox grow

My worms completly ate up all the leaves from the last trimmings, so I gave them the trimming from Miss Wispy early this morning. I've already got babies from the Worm Ranch.
I think I'm gonna put worm in both the regular Earthbox and in my 15gal pot to do a comparison.

So this box for purple dodgers doesn’t have worms yet but I am about to dump out empty junior and I’ll wrangle couple handfuls and toss em in tonight prob! Then top off with compost and straw for them to eat! Damn ph issue is spreading so got drastic and put like 1.5tbsp more of dolomite lime pellets in a ziploc bag and crushed with a hammer as much as I could so had some in dust form to take effect quicker! Since I was asked several times YES if medium is in range and microbes are active YOU DO NOT NEED TO PH YOUR WATER GOING IN AND IT WILL BE BUFFERED!!!! On same note IF MEDIUM PH IS WAY OFF LIKE MINE WAS microbes will not magically raise soil ph over 1.0+ to put it in range so lime was needed!
Other than that soil is super active and healthy even before the worms! :woohoo1:

After I get done with my errands I’ll get some pics of plant and damn ph issue so can tell once it’s fixed and back where it needs to be!

May have missed why (if you said) but why are you experiencing the ph swing? makes sense needing the lime too. Trying to see how you approach these issues before I make the switch. Earth box juniors seem to be in the nearish future for me.

When I mixed this soil I was lazy and just used craft blend instead of individual ingredients like usual and therefore totally forgot to add lime and it was plain sphagnum moss out the bag so was low 5’s by itself since no lime was added! Wish I had thought of it sooner before had an issue!

Auto mix harvest
Finally got auto mix girl all dried up and trimmed and man she didn’t disappoint! No larfy nugs here! Not super dense and heavy but def some nice thick nugs and not a single airy bud to be found! :woohoo1:

Ok so after finding ph at 5.3/ adding some dolomite lime AND THEN CRUSHED SOME OF THE PELLETS AND ADDED THAT POWDER TOO I thief checked it few days later and was 5.0!!! :yoinks:
I added like minuscule amount of oyster shell flour to that slurry test to see that it raised ph and was correct so added that to hopefully fix ph faster! She’s still moving along but them affected leafs looking ugly! Hope it corrects sooner than later! All the roots in this soil hard to get soil sample and can’t afford $140 for a blulab soil ph probe that’ll do accurate readings!

Climbing into tent later and I’ll get pics of the affected leafs! Haven’t chopped em cuz wanna be able to tell when done spreading!
:pass:

WTF caused that?

edit....was this the one that was smelling?

If by that u referring to ph issue?? If so it’s cause this soil I was lazy and just added craft blend to sphagnum moss base and therefore forgot to add the damn dolomite lime from beginning! Luckily it dawned on me when I saw 1st leafs with funky spots show up but was really low so trying to correct quickly! Surprised she’s still trucking along and easily 30” tall but haven’t measured width just yet........
So i am back and my curious ass measured width! Holy moley didn’t expect this!

Conservatively can say it’s 28” wide from corner to corner and even doing a shortcut measure from closest branches in and going across she’s 25”! :headbang:
image.jpg
Example from damn ph plummet! Add the lime to prevent this at all costs! :nono:

Otherwise she’s banging along! Gonna have to get in and cut off some secondary satellite branching here soon cuz gonna be too clustered below that even canopy to be worthwhile anyways! :cooldance:
Also she’s got her own 250w light on this side of 4x4 so she can bush all she wants!
