First grow and I am going old school. I am going to be growing some RocBud genetics. I stumbled upon RocBud through a lot of research on breeders and banks in the USA and I like the new school exotic auto strains he is offering. Of course I like his name and logo which is buff cartoon buds and graffiti style font and the name of his strains. Cool style which is a huge plus because I'm not trying to grow anything lame. Mephisto was a thought but I don't like the name of their strains and their logo is just okay.
My setup is 400W MH/HPS ballast with an air cooled hood in a 40"x40"x80" Secret Jardin tent. I am using the AC infinity S6 fan with no carbon scrubber yet. The room is airconditioned but with only a window unit until I can replace my broken mini split. Room is 2nd floor in southeast so it is pretty hot. Outdoor temps are high 80s low 90s and my room is 72-82F so the tent is 75-88F. Low humidity.
I ordered Cookies n Chem v2 and got some free random seeds. I am going to be growing 2 of each in soil from Mother Earth. Groundswell and Terracraft. I chose the Mother Earth because it had the added neem meal in it which I am hoping helps with any pests. I will use Mega Crop as the only fertilizer because it is clean and easy to use or so I hope.
To germinate I am going right into garden cups that are about the size of a solo cup. Planting the seeds directing in the Terracraft and watering with some rain water I collected in a glass bottle.
Planted 2 of each on 6/18/2020 and covered with a plastic tub with an air hole.
On 6/19 I misted the domes for humidity.
6/20 there is sign of life in all 4 seeds.
6/21 - DAY 1 and all four planted are above soil with the cotyledons out. I have them in the tent under 400w HPS hanging 24 inches above. 20 hours on and 4 hours off
6/22 - All four showing first leaves. I could tell from Day 2 that one of the Cookies-n-chem was going to be smaller or stunted because it was slightly twisted and had the smallest set of first leaves.
6/23 and 3 of the 4 are showing some stretch so I lowered the light to 18" above the plants.
6/24 all four showing second set of leaves
6/25 moved light to 16" above plant
6/26 Day 6 transplanted all four into their final container. The 2 free girls are going into 7gal fabric and one of the Cookies-n-Chem is going into 7gal fabric. The smaller cookies-n-chem is in 5gal fabric because I didn't have enough soil to fill another 7gal haha. All put into a mix of Groundswell and Terracraft and after transplant they all got watered with RO.
6/27 nothing done.
6/28 one of the freebies has some possible heat stress. The leaves are turning rough and slightly wrinkly and pointing down. The other 3 look great.
6/29 watered all four with RO
6/30 all looking good. The droopy freebie has perked up
7/1 light moved 13" above plants
