Photoperiod RivetGrrl's Photosensitive Adventures

Thanks, the White Widow is gonna be nice, this is my first harvest of her with no spider mites (fingers and toes crossed) so I'm looking forward to what she looks like when I harvest her in about 2 more weeks. I'd like to try Mephisto genetics but they are the higher priced of all auto's I looked at. I'll run them one day when I have spare $$ as I've been told by many people how good the genetics are.
I hear you, and they have gone up in price some, but nothing out of line with the industry,... I think they are at a tough size in their company right now, a huge load of work and very few folks to help... Seriously, in Spain where the farm is, it's like 4-5 people, two of those the main breeders/owners,.. recently they had to form affiliate distributors in Canada and USA to help deal with demands in shipping! If you want to try less $$ seeds of theirs, go for the Illuminauto's, crosses of crosses that they make when see something so juicy they have make them knock boots-.. very limited, unlikely to made again, though some have had such great feedback they became Artisanals or Limited Editions... Also, the overcount everything, order 3 and get 4-5, 5 packs are usually 7's, plus freebies, and not crappy stuff, same prime strains or limited crosses! I know it looks $$ at first, but I find that by the time you get your order and count seeds, it's a very goof value indeed! We have discount codes as well for AFN'ers,... So save some $$ for 4/20 in any case, they have unbeatable deals then
Speaking of Stickman, he may also have a very good C99a repro'ed from the old HighRise stock.. HR is long gone now, but they made some fantastic stuff, all geared toward fast finishing for northern climes,... he made a handful of auto cross with C99, and all were ahead of their time for quality IMO! The GHzxC99 is still one of the most potent auto's I have ever had :dizzy:....
Hmm, only the breeder knows how to decode that label,... Sour D' is so blown up anymore, it's hard to find the true original, so many cuts, pheno's, back crosses these days,... A local homie has a super nice cut of it, couldn't believe it was a SD, but he says it's an older cut,... really skunky (might be a clue to truer origins there), mild fuelly notes, nice floral,.... I'ma go back for a swap on that! .... Well, if you wanted to save her, only recourse is reveg'ing, a PITA but if she's super good, no more seeds, then it might be worth it,...
I've had a couple strains that were oddly late trich' producers,... This version of Lambsbread a local friend gave me was one... I was literally worried about it at first, they were so late in forming-- all 4 of them, in one pot! The plan was to plant 4 in a bigger pot, wait for sexing and just cut out males and transplant to another pot size,... well, they took their sweet time in showing sex and by then, all 4 were girls ... it was a bit of a struggle during bloom, I fed them as much as I dared, but they ate fans like crazy anyway,... the colors came on, and they were just amazing!... they finished face-first, but all turned out great...

One did a weird self-topping, hence the shortie in there,... lovely buzz, very happy-uppy, pleasant, zero rush/jitters just like Lamby should be... they had the most greasy resin I've ever seen too, almost no stickiness, rolling joint with it was kinda difficult! But sooo smoooth,... piney sour citrus dominated,...

He thought it was Sour Diesel but it is so piney smelling and looks so weird, creamy yellow pistils that are long and profuse.
what, you don't like hairy chicks?! :crying: That's a Humboldt Honey there! .... she looks stellar RG, no kidding on the fan trich's....geez, they're almost fuzzy with them- :greenthumb:buds look prime too!

She is gorgeous. How does she smell?

Thank you, she smells nothing like diesel/fuel, just a very piney smell with a sweet undertone, Fruit Loops is the first thing that came to mind. Defintily interested in the effects!

Holy shite that's quite the tree you grew! Love the colors of the fan leaves and gorgeous buds.

I just looked at Mephisto's site, and read the strain guide, some mighty fine genetics they have! I will look around for a code when the time comes, I would like to order large to get the big freebie # of 15 or so seeds. Good to hear they usually give you more seeds than promised, that is always a bonus. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue paying for peoples hard work, I'm just used to growing photos and being able to clone, it's made me a bit shy of a one run deal but I still want to try. Plus I do want to try my hand at colloidal silver to get pollen from a female, and get seeds that way. Of course the plant treated is then a discard but her life goes to seed runs down the line.

It sounds like you've been around cannabis a long time and have quite the network, that is awesome :cool1: I was mostly a loner until recently, with work and friends I've met in the last bit. It's interesting to hear everyone's input on it all.

One of my friends is a a hippie chick, she'll beat any guy hands down in the winter when she doesn't shave  It looks like she has a ways to go, I estimated 9-10 weeks total. Thanks for the compliment, I'm really looking forward to how she fills out in the next 2-3 weeks! I feel bad because I actually neglected her, put her to the back of the tent and was pretty rough defoliating and taking off a lot of lower branches etc. I did make two clones, I'll see if they take but I'm not holding my breath.

She sure is! Nice photos too. They capture that beautiful symmetry...
Thank you, every time I get pics I think I should get the real camera out, but my photo editing program is on my MacBook and it's pretty much lived out it's lifespan of almost 10 years. So I keep not using it....

The struggle is real. I have the same thing going on — practically has to be tax time before I’ll fire up the laptop. The smartphone is just too handy.

:jointman: It's 4 tree's, mon! Well, 3 and a mutie top bush- ... my mate said they can become true monsters if given the space,... it showed in how late they sexed, despite being put out with a significant drop in light hours, trying to maybe force the sexing.... that was a 25gal smart pot they ended up in,... They can be tamed though, I sent some to another breeder a while ago and he had some tent grows that went well, used in a few crosses...
You found the 10% disc. I gather? What did you get? :eyebrows:

... You'll be shocked my friend, I'm no Master with decades of cannabis experience at all, only been growing it since '12 (photo's first, found auto's in '13 while looking for seeds), first one since the long ago high school days attempts, which were a disaster! ....eaten, stolen, that kinda crap,... You know about the rest of my botanical endeavors though, so that helps... I came here pretty green, but you work at your knowledge, pick brains, try try try and you flatten the learning curve quickly! I consider myself competent, no better, IMO.... :smoker1: .... The Infirmary is where I learned a great deal, having started with help from old Admin here, then helping mates, them other members, and eventually got conscripted! ...been doing Sick Bay for nearly 4 years now!
:pause: ..catch ya later, gotta go make Superbowl foods! :headbang:

I'm always on my laptop, but it's not the one with Lightroom and my photo library. Alas.

Well plant experience is plant experience, and makes us more well rounded growers I think. Reading, posting, and especially helping others is great for learning as well. That's a long run helping out in the infirmary, I always loved diagnosing problems and helping people at the greenhouse I used to work at. It gave me a lot of satisfaction, although at times it was bad news for those seeking cures for plant issues.

Yup I did the code, and picked up 3 Walter White, 3 Grapey Walter, 3 Fantasmo Express and one Strawberry Nuggets to round out the order. I wanted to try the Illuminautos but that will be next order, I wanted a certain batch that would mature about the same time. God that was hard to choose tho, as always with genetics.

Enjoy the game, I've been hit so hard with a migraine last couple days I'm gonna go to a dark room after this and previously tending to my reservoirs.

I'm glad you pulled the trigger on mephisto. I would love to see how you think they compare to photos. I like your selection. That fantasmo will probably go the longest. She has alot of the legendary ghost train haze in her. I think she is their most sativa dominant strain.

That's what I'm looking forward to, is the comparison. I seem to be running into issues with my last couple grows so maybe the plants dictating when she wants to flower will help me fine tune other things, or rather, maybe be more hands off with my photos. Topping a couple times and a long veg got me 5 oz dry per plant before for the PV's, and I'm nowhere close to that now so I'm not doing something right :frowny:

I have three Moonshine Haze from Rare Dankness and ones just showing sex, I'm 99% sure it's a girl so that will be a monster to handle in my tent. I jumped on Fantasmo right away because of the GTH in her lineage. Very excited, I'll be running her first as I don't have much for sativas as I've been shy to try them in a tent. Thus why I'm running a photo sativa, could be quite the experience :nono::rofl:

I will probably run my four AutoPots in my 3X4 tent and see how they do, may or may not top them. I'm thinking I should just leave them alone to just grow although the Fantasmo may really benefit from it. I do have a SCROG going in there right now. I want to try them in my DWC setup too tho but they would be in with photos and would have to be under 12/12 light. Fuggit I'll figure it out later lol.

:baked: Aw, W. Never will forget my first steps here on site you catching me up infirmary, reading the first time such you post me wondering af:shrug:whatathatdudetellingmewant:rofl: But holy crap...what 4 tree's ya talking about?:nono:...and what 10 % disc is that, am i smoking wrong weed?:jointman:

ah, :rolleyes1: me think u just joking me around as you like to do, huh?!:naughtystep:me also began at high:pass:school smoking joints in break and wondering what teachers talking bout:dizzy:and first grows couldn't be worst, plants looked bad so me the beginner mistakes...more nutes and water and plants didn't look better, so again more nutes and water:crying:stepped back to sicky thread today and will try to help where i can:thumbsup: here really jealous bout you big superbowl action, here in evening news they said at that evening u guys are eating 1.3 billion chicken wings:nono: nah, must be wrong information:oops1:
