Photoperiod RivetGrrl's Photosensitive Adventures

The plants are looking great. I'm glad your aero cloner is working out for you. My diy cloner leaks and clogs.

I love DIY, I learn so much but sometimes it just doesn't work out. I should not have spent what I did on a cloner, but I wanted it and it works great so what the heck. I still just use Rapid Rooters if I'm doing a handful of clones, but I'll be doing a bunch in the next few weeks so set up the Turbo.

Thanks, I got a clone from this Panama already into the flower tent and more on the way. Will clone all the Killer a5's and keep what I like the best. Will probably be a hard decision to make since there are so many phenotypes!

Tons of real thicc pistils on that Panama. 7 more weeks though???

What kind of high is the sweet bread? Peaked my interest o_0

Ya she's stated to be 9-12 weeks, and in hydro could go longer so she may even be 8 more weeks. I think it depends on the pheno as well, green or red. I can't wait to see what those buds do in that time, I bet they will be just as nice or nicer than the other sativas I have run. The Killer a5 haze I have four of now, depending on phenotype, can go 66-90 days depending on pheno. :pop: I think I gotta get some autoflowers started soon :crying:
But the wait should be worth it, the Moonshine Haze I ran awhile back yielded 10 oz dry which totally blew me away. Plus this stuff should be a crazy high, anything from trippy and psychedelic to a narcotic incapacitating experience. Two of my buddies have huge tolerance, I'm hoping I break both those assholes with these LOL.

Oops missed the Sweetbread Q, it's one of my favorite highs. Very introspective, but not to the point of making me antisocial like some have. It's been great to smoke while I work on my art, really helps me focus. But man, does it make me stupid. I learned not to do anything technical while I'm smoking on her, 'cause my brain won't work in that way :oops1:
Not overpowering or disorienting either, but she still packs a good punch. Not even close to being cured yet so I am curious to see how she does then!

I'm always nervous to grow Sativas because they take so long and you never know how the high will be, but Ace sativas have a pretty good rep from what I gather. There is a grower called "hush" over on the overgrow forums and I read through his perpetual journal where he grew quite a few sativas and he was real happy with the many Ace sativas he grew.

Good luck blasting your high tolerance friends lol :D

Should be an interesting ride!

Well I didn't touch anything more than a 50/50 hybrid for a very long time, grew out some seeds a buddy gave me "SD3xF99" hated the plant until close to harvest and fell in love like you would not believe. Probably not the best intro to sativas she was very unruly but in the end, trimming her was almost non-existent and she had frost on her petioles. Here's an old pic, I shoved her in the back of the tent and kinda ignored her, and she grew up the back like a freaking ivy almost :crying: fell over onto everything. I felt bad at the end for not loving her, and for not taking clones. She did stellar for all that, part of why the love. ACE has an auto or two and some other breeders have sativa dom too might be a good way to break into it and/or try something that you could pick a photo version up for. But yes it's a real time investment and if anything goes wrong? UGH.

I will have to check out that grower's journal.

What a beast... Trichs for days, it's possible even the roots had trichs on that shiny girl.... :smoking:

Trim job would be nice like you mentioned, but HOLY MACKEREL look at the size of that thing!

I'm going to start my Sativaish journey here pretty soon. Not a full Sativa by any means, but Early Amnesia CBD from Dinafem. Been really enjoying the CBD strains lately...

I think in my limited spaces Scrog is the only way for me to reasonably grow the bigger gals. Haven't done one in a long time so it should be interesting lol...

No worries @High Hopes , no toes stepped on thanks for the compliments and sharing your experiences with revegging. Please feel free to jump in anywhere and share :toke:

I should have chewed those roots :crying: She was SO easy to trim, almost no leaf just calyx so I popped a few off and dried her.

Cool, I am looking forward to seeing you grow her, I love CBD myself and need to get some going. Can't go wrong with Dinafem either.

SCROG is great, I have the nets but I never did a "real" SCROG, I just used them to wrangle unruly plants :shooty: Very handy, but in a perpetual grow I found myself tangled up too much as I pull plants and put new ones in.. Alas.. I am just typing them down now, tried supercropping but really didn't like it.

Speaking of Dinafem, how was your quick critical after a longer cure? Was it lemony? How was the high? Was a beautiful plant with some pink hues in the buds...

She was a nice citrus, pretty decent functional high. I got two more now from seed, I'll clone and see if either one is a keeper. The maturation time alone was wicked tho, bang on 50 days in hydro can't beat that:thumbsup:
