Photoperiod RivetGrrl's Photosensitive Adventures

Don't mention anymore breeders, dammit :crying:
It's a 4x8 that will replace a couple other tents. And will allow me to veg better than I have been, until I fill everything to bursting :nono: I checked out your Ace thread/blog, looks great! I'll pop by and have a better look in the next bit and be sociable :toke:

Breeders? Me? Ace is offering Indian Landrace Exchange reg seeds.

I transitioned everything that is current to the forum blog Fluidus. | Topiaria. | Fumus.

That 4x8 is going to be great, live your dreams for me please. I'll watch lol.

Pop in to any of those any time. Can't threaten me with a good time lol.

@Waira here is a pic of Lava Freeze, and I can't for the life of me place her scent, it is amazing but hmmmmmm, not coming to me. When I harvest it may be easier to figure something. Yields should be average, buds are fairly dense and of a good size. I am looking forward to the end product that's for sure :smoking:
Very odd buds for an indica tho, they are foxtailing but not really bad, and very dense not fluffy.
It's hard to see how big she is, with the tent so packed. When I move them all into the new tent I'll get better pics.

You can see the "tufts" a bit better here, I think she's gonna be gorgeous when harvested

Killer A5 Haze is going nuts, these gals will get put into the 5 gallon buckets as soon as the new tent is set up and a tent is free for vegging again.

I saw the Indian Landrace Exchange, that's another breeder I've been watching for a long time. OF COURSE :crying:
I haven't tried ordering direct from Ace, I ordered from Seedsman. But I would like to try, I just don't know how stealth their shipping is since they don't offer a replacement option if the seeds get nabbed.
Blog looks nice, I will have to figure out how to work that option.

That's how they sent my freebies. I'm in the Midwest, received in about 5 business days. I think dubi would be willing to help out in case of lost or stolen but it's easier to reach him off their site.

I'm going to need to learn tissue culture to hoard all their strains lol.

The blog is fun though. Cleans up the clutter a lot.

Good to hear about the shipping, I had one package nabbed by customs but everything after has been OK. If you got it in the States then Canada is usually good too.

Tissue culture is cool, I worked with it in school but damn, the equipment you need! A small lab/space could be made but would still cost a bit.

I have the space but I need a laminar flow hood. It's like a $800 project that I'm still trying to convince my wife of. Growing indoors is just expensive in general.

Good talking to you. I don't want to clutter your thread anymore lol.

I missed this, that is cool if you could do tissue culture, that would be a lot of plants!

No worries about clogging up the thread, I love talking about anything horticulture related so chat away please.

Some updates on the 4X8 and plants, they love it! Had some issues I'm still dialing in for environment. Had the tent exhausting outside, but the room is WAY too dry now. So I reversed it, exhaust is blowing out the door with a passive intake from outside. I think it will be too cold when the lights are out tho. Always something to figure out

First is a Panama leaf, small but the write up for the strain states leaves of the green pheno are wide, so I am thinking it is the green one. I'll see how she goes and if either of the other two are red.

In the left bubbler, Ace Killer a5 Haze, these should be into final homes this week. Topped already and they are growing like crazy! Beside them on the right are two more Ace Panama, and two Dinafem Quick Critical +. The Killers kinda scare me, they are the same age as the others and almost twice as big already. Once in buckets I know they will explode which is good, I got room to flower these babies!

Cannarado Sweet Bread, this strain is unbelievable and I'll be growing her again. Both plants the same, delightful scent and so easy to grow. Did I mention resin? The only annoyance is the number of leaves, but since they are so coated in resin, why the fack am I mentioning it? She smells so much like sweet bread (pineapple) coated in thick goey icing that I still want a pastry now after trimming some buds.. Ohhhh... @Waira I finally pegged a scent :crying: Much nicer than the only other scent I seen to be able to ID, baby shit LOL

Ace Panama, the star of the tent I'm sure, or at least she will hog it I'm thinking. No huge stretch, yet. Maybe she won't be too unruly, but she sure is nice so far! Note how short and wide the leaves are, probably the green pheno but I also hope to find a red pheno in the other two if so. I want to try both so no disappointment here either way.

Thanks for the kind words, I would love a macro lens one day. did I say that already? I probably did :smoking:

Ohhh I can't believe you can have those Tawny's as pets, I know there are a lot of issues with introduced species in Australia, are there issues as well with people keeping wild animals as pets? It happens everywhere, you see the oddest animals getting confiscated.

I have been using Rapid Rooters for seeds, but also picked up some rockwool cubes as I am going to pop a bunch of those Hindu Kush seeds I reproduced, and I don't want to use more expensive product for it.

I haven't dropped in in awhile so here are some more pics as well!

Veg tent turned "get it done" tent, Ace Seeds Panama on the left, above her a SSSC Lava Freeze and two MegaBuds Giant Skittlez on the right. The Panama was making me nervous, she is way younger than the others and is really wanting to grow. I took some clones off her in case she is a Red. @Waira you will be happy to note that the tent reeks like cat piss, I am thinking it is her :kitty:
:smoking:You're welcome, they are beautiful ladies your plants. Yes i think you did but then i am forgetful sometimes:smokeit:

I would love one as a pet also, I am not sure but if you were a carer for sick wildlife maybe a Tawny, maybe you could apply to keep it. I guess there is many cute and strange animals to have as pets, but i think permits would be needed or native wildlife. Ive seen weird animals also out here confiscated.

The 36mmm jiffys, its not long till I have to put them into the main pots. I might try a larger size next time, they are pretty cheap, why i use the jiffys. Ive seen rcokwool cubes and rapid rooters at the local hydro store.

So a red does that mean male? Girls are looking great

Thank you for the kudos as always :toke:

I popped into your thread, I thought I had but had not!

The rockwool worked perfectly fine, but I did pick up a bag of Rooters too. They are great as well for taking cuttings if you just have a handful to do.

The red is a phenotype, either green or red. Red has gorgeous pink pistils and a red hue, as well as a more psychedelic trippy kinda high. I really want to experience that :smoking: Green is more euphoric and creative, so I want that as well when working on my art.

You are welcome, your girls always look so nice and healthy:woohoo:

Thank you for the kind words in my thread also, about to make Grow 4 thread:yay:This time i have a white house to build (greenhouse) outside to house the girls. With the dry the trees are thinning out a bit for my liking. A bit of construction also to make it more private

I love the sound of the psychedelic high :dizzy: It would help with creativity, any plant from the earth is great. It would be nice to have the best of both.:smoking: All the artists would use them for creativity with music or art.. Pink Floyd for sure

Cuttings would be good with jiffy peat or rockwool. I have Blue Fire ( think - was a freebie from Attitude). She is flowering so i worry about the light as our days get longer.
