Right size for age?

I was wondering if my plants were flowering at the right time.....ok they are blimburn gg#4 autos I ordered from rocket seeds...they say it's a 9 week strain...well these are 38 days old and one is 28 days old..here's pics the last pic is the 28 day old...

Take those flowering times with a grain of salt. There are lots of factors that affect that, like pot size, light intensity etc. your plants are doing great!

Man they look awesome! My first timers are both 29 days old and I dont know if they’re too short tall fat or what but they smell good haha. Also GG#4, maybe I should’ve cut some leaves off by now because it seems bushy compared to many pics I see?

Have you done any training??? Your look nice too...I was thinking my middle plant needs some defoliating done it is thick inside and not much room to breath...I wonder if I can now? Hmm we should figure this out ....later looking good though...

I did about a week ago and it helped cuz those are the tips you see but im about to do it again in a more complete manner. I’m doing this first run totally by feel and trying to react daily (if not hourly) to what they’re telling me. I’ve been smoking for 40 years and it’s the first time I stuck a seed in some dirt hahaha (my kids finally got old enough to know their old man smokes and grows weed)

What about defoliating? My middle plant is pretty thick not much room to breath....

I defoliate starting around day 15-20 and continue weekly well into flower. Take the big fans that are covering the lower “tops” first…this will encourage more tops, and help even out the canopy. Most strains handle defol once a week with little or no stress.
For the second round of defol start taking medium fans on the insides of the branches, encouraging nodes to reach up and become their own top. This works better on some strains than others, but is usually very beneficial.
