Mephisto Genetics Rhyce Saroni grows a Toof Decay aka Nanny McPhee

Tangina - Supernatural OG (32 days old) seems to be taking her 'super cropping' admirably. As I've never grown this strain before I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is the strain or a result of super cropping. I"ve heard many people describe is at the plant forming lots of cola type tops and it appears that this is happening.

I'm now going to try another form of super cropping which I've heard called 'old skool'. This method bends the top over to the ground, makes more stress on the stem and creates a bunch of more mini colas. Really a form of LST. I've got her halfway bent and will keep doing this until she looks to be spinning up her main cola and then I'll let her make a U turn back upwards...

Screw the pictures, watch the video!

Thus far this lab is kind of fun. It'll be even more fun if we get some MONGO BONGOS!!!!

I'm real happy that added another tent to be able to use for just these types of things... a specialty tent of sorts I guess... lets see how our first subject does in there... heh, heh, heh...

RS

NB - I'm doing this as the catalog description encourages it... so why not?

Err... sorry, I fixed the security problem with the video...

I think I'd mentioned that the Triangle Kush buds were like mini bunches of grapes or something like that... lilacs... i don't know... anyway, now that they're mellowing in the curing jars... the little 'grapes' are becoming rock hard resin nugetts... like hash balls... i don't know if i'll ever come up for air...

Quick note... I started really pushing the SOG now nutrient-wise, encouraging them to go fast, even the week younger Snaggle Twof who's far ahead of schedule and beginning to flower too... i'll double check to make sure, but i'm pretty sure that's what i saw. crowd mentality! group think! lol I'll give them each one last trim/leaf tuck once I've got a pretty good idea of what the canopy is going to look like and just keep pushing the food and water at them like normal now and not starving and parching them anymore... I'll post pics when things start shaping up.

The three HBSS are moving right along, two nearly identical and one slightly smaller, but they're babies at 2 weeks. Healthy ones. My feeding program starts now with a trace (1tsp) amount of fish emulsion mixed with water (1 gal).... As the girls move along, I keep spraying further and further outwards in concentric rings so that by about three weeks the whole pot is re-moistened completely.. So what I'm getting at is that this first introduction to nutrition is the current outer ring... No where near the seedling itself... alternating between water only and the mix, any change in soil condition will be by very slow osmosis... imho...

My experiments with moisture monitoring are going well. It will never replace my feel and observation techniques, however they are augmenting them, providing me with excellent data regarding the plants health and vigor. As well, I've been able to dial in my soil moisturizing program, keeping one subject at an evern 30% moist for some time now... I've accomplished this by setting high and low moisture triggers which will alarm me then the plant falls below the tolerance level which i've got set at 10 percent change, anything more up or down tells me to add or subtract moister, which is either water and food or just water depending...

Thanks for listening ;) RS

One last note... Tangina - Supernatural OG turns five weeks tomorrow... Which means it's Sledge time... So I'll let her go dryish and then hit her with Sledgehammer and water, just gave her 1.5 l of food/water.

I'll have her out tomorrow. She's pretty much got her final shape and looks like a pancaked plant... kinda like a leafy Starship Enterprise... lol I'll take some pics tomorrow when I've got her out for thinning, etc.. RS

Some pictures of the mixed strain 9 plant SOG...

4 - Deep Blue C
4 - Sour Crack
1 - Toof Decay

Top row.. - SC - SC - TD
Middle.... - SC - DB - DB
Bottom... - SC - DB - DB

WYSWYG
Limbed, trimmed and taking off...

Notice the difference in color of the different strains... Deep Blue C are in the lower right quad - emerald green... Sour Crack are on the left and top - olive drab... Toof Decay - Verdant green... One SC is tall (back middle)... One small (back left)...

Under the hoods... I'm going to velcro a stick fan on its side to blow underneath... I'll probably do it using a timer, doing fan on the off every fifteen minutes to avoid wind stress...

Well, that's it! I might tip a couple of leaves to clear the plane underneath but other than that, lets crank out 9oz of tops! Pedal to the metal!!!! Time to lower the lights to 35-40k lux, shove these girls in the oven and turn up the juice! The heat is ON!!! Time go get baked girls!!! Put on your tanning butter...

RS

NB - If the Toof Decay gets too tall she will be bent and supercropped to fit in at the proper height.
