Mixing light is fun!
Hey!
Well I just bought two of @BigSm0 's Almost complete lights. https://cobshop.net/shop?olsFocus=false&olsPage=products/almost-complete is the link to it. It is a cob and a heatsink combo. I purchased his complete light and it is quite impressive. My DIY heart wanted to build something so I just ordered the partially built ones. The driver I bought was a Meanwell HLG-120H-C1050B. That will drive the two Citizen clu048-1812 3500k cobs that are in the lights.
If you need anymore info just shout!
Peace
That will be for my 2'x4'. I think one more should go in there, but am going with two for now. Based on 4 lights being suitable for a 4'x4', and what I have in my 4'x4'! According to calculations that will be somewhere around 110 watts.
so if i get that right u want to cover an area of 2 foot by 4 foot with just 2 COB's @ about 1A ? That sounds a bit low to me.
Lets assume u have a 90 degree reflector mounted, then the radius of the covarge-circle is the same amount like the distance from the COB the the surface of the coverage area.
That means u would need to have a distance of 30cm ( 11 inch ) from the COB to the plants. This seems a bit close to me.
So maybe just think about getting a thrid COB to fill the missing area ( with 2 COB's next to each other u get to circles coverage next to each other with a small area that both COB's cover. )
The third one would create a more even light distribution IMO.
