Lived on one of those for 10 yrs ....believe me its not all that,pottable water ....yuk ...still got to generate electricity, and pay for a supply vessel to bring ur raw materials,general upkeep of a rust bucket and did i forget to mention the weather,100 yr waves smashing into it and blowing out toilets as ur having a crap......and the only books left lying around are "lord of the flys " communal living might be good but that type of close quarters living aint good

Yea..long term living probably not the best setup. The idea for an oil rig in my mind was really something more I had back before the legalization movement got quite the momentum currently going. In particular, I was thinking that it could be interesting to see about setting one up as more of a temporary stay resort type space. Have onsite gardens growing lots-o-cannabis, and ship in everything else needed to make it a 5 star resort in international waters where canna laws don't apply. "Budding Bay Resort" or something along those lines. :smoking:

Of course..now that you can go to Colorado, Vegas, Cali, or many other places already it wouldn't have nearly the draw it would have a decade or so ago.
