Water slowly.... it takes a few for everything to soak in. I water in 2 stages.

So like water half now, go have a bong get distracted for like 30minutes then do the second half? Hahaha

So....I have 12 plants going right now, I water half to all of the plants, and when I'm done, I water the second half. Maybe.....less than 5 minutes or so. You could water half, wait a minute, water the second half and probably be fine.

I'm testing this distilled water...It took 8ML plus 1 drop from the pipette of Calmag to reach about 102ppm...I'm looking to run the water between 90-120 ppm..Lol and I was going to only add like 5-6 ML eyeballing it...I'm happy I picked up that ppm pen. Edit: I went a little light handed on reamending this 5 gallons of soil just for this test plant, so now I have to compensate..

When I have a fresh pot I let it sit in the runoff for a bit. Always soaks a good portion back up, but that is soil.
