Now that you mention it, that is pretty thick. Wonder if it's a dip in grade so they just filled to make the surface level or if they run it that think always. Seems it would get ridiculously, unnecessarily expensive to make it that thick. :smoking:
I agree. It's almost becoming my old man, "I remember back in the day" soap box. I find myself thinking back to the 80's and before and having to rifle through shelves at the book store or hit the card catalogue at the local library to learn new stuff. Since I started cooking and stopped eating take out a couple years back, it's really hit me big. So much easier these days to think of something you want and then go find a half dozen different recipes for it to choose from than back in the days of cook books. Or hit the 'Net to do a "I've got X, Y, and Z in the cupboard so what can I make" type search.
