Should i be worried about pressure and things exploding with either of these methods? :rofl:

Not at all. Just leave enough room for the bag to expand.

No solvents, and in the second method slow cookers wont get hot enough to combust the oil.

Turkey bags are meant to be sealed while cooking. Even if it did explode, which it won't, it would be like a balloon popping.
