Is a 600w hps to much light for my 1 day old seedlings? I'm guessing yes?
What if I hang some cloth above them to provide shade will that work better? I'm really to stoned now to set up my CFL's haha

nope. 1 1/2 ounce shot glass taped with electrical tape to black it out.. still have it around here somewhere. Ohh, need to get a pic.., my solocup auto is still alive. The bud turned brown and died but the plant looks fine. I even water it every now and then.... so 6 month old auto still kicking. May cut the bud off and transplant it just for giggles.

if you are worried, shade is good, might not wanna follow me to a very bright place......
