Its funny...i actually make mistakes every round. :D But hey, get it mostly right and do alright!! Thats pretty much what i am trying to do...despite the small space (16"deep X 56" long X 28" from the top of the pots to the lights surface) i am running 8 different plants/strains. For the most part root restriction has been working great, so far only one plant refused to listen to my plan...i suspect other giant auto strains would refuse to follow my plan as well!!
You could do very, very well with a double stacked closet and small framed autos in tight quarters in smaller pots.
Place an easy3grow autopot in the center of each one and train them down immediately across a grid and they would throw a double decker closet full of grenades. Keep them spaced apart 30 days and perpetual harvest.

Sounds pretty awesome to me...until a few years ago i was mostly outdoor exclusive....going back 20+ years though when i really learned to grow, i learned on hydro with a DIY stacked 3" rockwool cubes and clones from photo strains...stacked tight and small 1 foot tall plants would yield huge for the space they took up(best runs were well over 2gpw). I remember the power of the SoG first hand.

Can I split an old 3 gallon fabric pot at the bottom and use a coffee filter to plug holes ... and eventually put the whole thing in the ground surrounded by more soil? What I'm trying to ask is ... will the roots do ok ... maybe put a few side splits just before planting. I thought about starting a thread, but couldn't decide where to put it . Also, I'm talking about a photo period plant which makes it even harder to decide where to post. Just message me as I don't want to clog up stoners chat ... Thanks!

If out side and photo. Start above ground. Transplant to 5 gallon. Then a 30 gallon. And then bigger. Final pot could be in ground. But. I've seen some prehistoric giganto's grown like this. Check out mendo dope on utube them kids knows how to grow the photos BIG
