Removal/cloning of turned branch

I read somewhere here that someone will cut their turned male branch off and stick it in water to let it finish doing its thing.
QUESTIONS
1. Just water? Or would i wanna be using something megacrop-y?
2. If i was using mc, should i use regular or seedling diluting?
3. How long will it survive/keep the pollen coming in this vase-like state? Bubbles or no bubbles? Do i do Water changes?

So I am not the resident expert on this, in fact I haven't even tried it yet (although I plan to in a month or so), but I read the same thing. And as I recall, it was just plain water. You are not trying to save the branch as much as just keep it alive so it can spew pollen then be discarded. I think that was my read on this method, but hopefully someone with more expertise will chime in and set us straight.

Ive read a few threads trying this and remember the male branch would go into a stasis of not doing much (including ripening of pollen) for quite some time. Makes sense to me but I cant speak of anything. If you are looking for the easiest most guaranteed way to breed with autos it seems running multiple seeds and just turning one of them male to be the pollen downer. Takes way less time as well- I have a 25% success rate with my auto clones at the price of 14-20 days for roots. Not good.

Thanks. Im just thinking about efficiency in my grow. I have 2 leds i dont mind using. But if i can avoid seeding the host plant id like to. Aside from the small selfing of course.

I'm no expert but that's what I did recently to my first reversed branch. It worked out pretty well. Kept it alive in a tall shot glass in the living room sitting on a piece of tinfoil (just in case pollen dropped). I changed the water when it got low got what I wanted off of it and tossed the branch. It was an auto so I didn't add any light since I figured it wasn't necessary.

I just ordered some organic feminizing spray. I got a hell of a deal $50 usd. For 8 oz last me a long time. What kind of spray you use? I think mine is cs.

Im thinking about it. Some yellowing occurred on the fans so i stuck it in the dirt and changed the water with week 4 dose. Im not bubbling and im just seeing more or less how long itll stay alive. So i know when to cut it off the main plant

I did it. I put a dash of great white in the water when i added some this morning
