A lot of growers use a jewellers loupe or magnifying glass and go by trichomes.

Some go when the pistils are all orange- i just go when i think they wont fatten up anymore.

Also i believe flushing is a myth (properly curing your bud is what gives it good flavour and smell)- your basically starving the plant at its most important phase. Although most growers still do it Heres another article on this matter

Thanks for the info sang- l do have a cheap loupe but its mutder to focus and re. flushing l kinda meant lettin the plants use up there leaf juice!! Lve read that flushin myth thread med total sense to me- lm off to work in half an hour so ill reread em later- thanks fer gettin back to me on this mate-lm tying buds off all over due to the weight of em at the mo- no bad thing eh?
