Howdy, All.:toke:
@RML , amen to the baking soda and its benefits. The difference it can make is amazing.
Well, the war continues here. I had a little dive in my pH, but I'm back to 8.2 this morning. My last bloodwork showed a pH of 7.23, so not ideal by any means, but moving up. I had no idea how critical blood pH was, and how hard your body fights to maintain a very narrow range.
Radiation is still an option, but the doc has some concerns about my current weight and condition. I started with protein shakes last night, and while I don't feel much different right now, it's way better tasting than juiced chiles! :chef:
My big lesson from last week: Family and Friends are critical to healing. If your head ain't right, then your heart isn't either, and the body follows them both.
I put some people who I really love and need in a bad spot by being too focused on my situation. Maybe ol' Red was feeling a bit sorry for himself? Anyway, there was a bit of an "intervention", and if you heard a loud popping noise a couple of days ago, it was just my head being uncorked from my butt!
Thanks, guys, :thanks::bighug::bighug::bighug:, lesson learned. I may just learn to like the rough stuff! :naughtystep::naughtystep::naughtystep:

Much more critical that pee PH..a lot less leeway.

Everyone deals with it Differently....some feel better Sharing..some feel better buttoning it up.
Plus of course the chemo is bound to affect everything.
You will find a happy medium.

Everyone knows the basic law of osmosis right..?
If you have a bowl with a permeable membrane and you fill one side of the bowl with water @ PH 7.5 on one side of the membrane and water @ PH 5.5 on the other side and leave them alone..osmosis will make them mix until both sides equal out around PH 6.5.

So..Imagine this..you get a 100 ltr black bin full of water..throw in a 40 mtr roll of seepy garden hose and a tennis ball.

Everything is permeable..
the black bin is your skin..the hose is your veins..the water your body fluids and the tennis ball your stomach.

If the water in the bin..the hose..and the tennis ball is all @ PH 7.35 you are fit and healthy...homeostasis

If illness/stress hits..or you have a crap diet..you become Acidic..

so say..the water in the bin changes to PH 5.5 and stays there for any length of time..it will start to affect the water in the seepy hose..now that is your Blood..:yoinks:

Your body will fight like mad to maintain that blood ph..it is Vital for Life..but if you don't give it the right tools..it Can't.

Now..what we are Doing with you is..we are keeping the water in Your bin to PH 8..and holding..so we are Forcing a change Up in your blood PH by surrounding it with a higher than normal PH of your body fluids...

As you say..much slower than being able to change your pee PH..but you are doing a Brillant job of it..:bighug:

BTW..tell RML about the weight loss when you take your PH Up..:toke:

That's the best I've ever heard it explained, Aunty. :bravo:

All credit to you, and Root, and DubV, my Missus..... the list goes on. I firmly believe that if it wasn't for you folks, I'd be more or less at room temperature now.:smoker: As it is now, we have a fighting chance to kick some cancer butt. And it seems that we are.
My pics from last week are encouraging. My specks are gone, my marbles are almost specks, and some of the bigger stuff is looking like bags of gravel.
I feel very much centered right now. A cuddly little Fuzzball:muahaha: :tonic:

BTW..tell RML about the weight loss when you take your PH Up..:toke:
@RML , I wont explain this as well as the gurus, but here's what I've experienced.
I started taking BS way before I got sick (or at least before I realized it). If I remember, I was peeing in the mid or upper 5's. Not good, not good at all.
My body was way acidic, and acidity like that means my O2 levels were in the pooper. We need the oxygen for a lot of reasons, but one big function is to process waste. I was kinda like a septic tank that went bad.
I've been in the high 7's and mid 8's for quite a while now, and the first few weeks were a bit rough (lots of trips to the bathroom.).
All the junk in my system was being flushed out. It's called detoxifying.
Long story short, I've dropped 30+ pounds in a month or so. Even with a pretty intense chemo program, I'm still working and fairly active.
This works, my friend. I hope you give it a go. Karma and :peace: to you, Brother, you have some awesome friends ready to help. :bighug:

Sounds like good news to me Red. Glad to hear things are starting to break up and wash out. Keep the faith brother, I know you are a lot like me and just like to shut down but there are a lot of people here that love you and care about you. We all know you are going to have good days and bad days and we will be here for both of them!

I would like to make a humble suggestion to Admin. The day Red is announced cancer free, I would like to see that day named in honor of Red and we celebrate yearly on the forum! I know Red is a humble guy but I feel like it is important the begin celebrating the time and energy the medical section puts into helping people across the world. I believe we do more than any other forum and celebrating an inaugural cancer free day will help remind us of what we all enjoy most, helping people.

And yes, I am certain in the near future Red will be announced cancer free. I believe this.
