OK so here's where I'm at. Struggling a bit. One is I'm getting dialed in to the MegCrop nutes and I haven't been feeding enough. That's on ME and the main reason they don't look to hot.

Second reason is HOLY F*CK is this unit INTENSE. I have the light as of two hours ago zip tied to the FRAME of my tent. One of my smallest at not even a foot is showing intense taco'ing... I have nearly a 7 foot ceiling... The tops of the NQ and BL are getting crispy. I have only the bloom spectum on as of 5 days ago and they are still stressed. They aren't directly dead center under the light either... If this keeps up I don't know what else to do... I don't have anymore ceiling... This is in a 5x5 too so idk... Well here they are at 29 days old. The B.Lee are throwing trichs everywhere...

I have my feeding problem sorted now however as autos are unforgiving... They will not recover and look like crap til harvest... Let's hope the buds will be so resinous, thick and beautiful we won't even notice the barked up leaves! :face:

Ouch! Sorry you are having feeding problems and issues with the intensity. I would see if you can double over the wire hangers to give you an extra couple inches with your low ceiling. I know that the girls tend to drink up a lot of Cal Mag under our lights, so make sure they are good with that and the PH levels are where they need ot be. I'm sure they will bounce back resinous, thick and beautiful. There are quite a few growers on AFN with experience under our lights as well.

What are your thoughts on using only the flower light during flower? I had heat issues and had to turn of the veg light for some relief

I thought it was contributing to the intensity problem so I'm on only bloom now too...

Thank you Tom! They'll be fine! Thanks for the info on the extra cal mag... I'll do that!! Oh they are resinous already at 5 weeks!

We typically don't recommend running just the bloom lights. You would most likely get the best results with both running. You could cut down on how long you have the veg switch on. If you are having heat issues make sure the fans are working. If you can add some low-tech CO2 in some way that will have the plants absorb more PAR photons.

Mine have a week maybe two left

I’ve never run on just the bloom before but every summer I would have to stop growing because of the ambient heat and the LEDs, that’s with a six inch exhaust running 24/7 to the outside.

My house is really old and has no climate control for hot weather. It’s one of the reasons I have been slowly shifting over to the bright white side and looking at the option of the COBs. Don’t get me wrong, I like PL they are much better engineered, assembled supported, & can take more abuse than most blurples, but technology is moving on.

As much as I hate that store, even Walmart has a COB grow light listed on their website and no that’s not an endorsement. I actually just installed cob headlights in my car and are they bright for a little yellow chip. Did not know they even existed until I started researching them for my grow.

If I have both on it totally stresses them out... I have a 7 foot ceiling, the plants are not even a foot tall that are being stressed... And I'm stressed as well lol
