Rebel's Mega Crop / Greenleaf Nutrients CannaZone Test Thread

hi all, nice postings in this threat. We are monitoring closely peoples real world results with AF.

In the future, we are probably going to bump up the MAGNESIUM AMINO ACID CHELATES in Mega Crop, seems like a few people are getting "CalMag" issues which seems to just be Mag issues. This may be because a lot of people are using heavy Coco medium, or strains are heavy Mag feeders, or for whatever reason we think increasing Mag will be a good decision.

Also, we are closely monitoring the "Nitrogen" level feedback, if some people are saying the N is too high? MC can use used for veg and flowering/budding, however it seems like Auto's spend a higher % of their life in flower/budding phase which may mean the N is possible too high?

As a solution if you have this problem, you can lower the MC dosage (to keep the N down), and supplement with a PK/K boost like Bud Explosion or Sweet Candy (both of those products have 0 Nitrogen and will boost K or PK). We can possibly up the PK and lower the N in Mega Crop for the future, we are keeping an eye on this if its needed. If we did do this, then the N would be lower, and it would be more of a dedicated bloom formula (which I think a lot of people around here would like)! In this case then we would ask people using it in veg phase to supplement with a separate product to boost Nitrogen.

We really want MEGA CROP to be a 1 part Cannabis formula, but some people may find they are getting better result with an extra PK/K booster for Auto's. So as mentioned we can adjust formula in the future to help with this as needed. Other nutrient companies like to split up products into 5-10 different products because they can easily pass the illusion of charging you a higher overall cost because you are under the impression that you are getting 5-10 different things. We do not want to do this, actually logistically speaking and for our shipping/packaging operation, its much much easier to just have as few products as possible to simplify sending orders :) Once you have 5 different products with 5 different sizes each, that brings your different SKU products to 25, which makes shipping/order fulfillment much more complicated. So obviously there is a price increase needed to account for having more products because of the more complicated inventory handling. Eventually we would like to make things as simple as possible, maybe having MEGA CROP and 1-2 other products max which are all optional.
With separate products, a sugar/carbohydrate product will always have to be separate dedicated formula, because of the fermentation that can happen and that carbohydrate products are not suited to every growing type.

I really like how you guys are listening to growers and assessing what the formula needs to be as perfect as possible. Hats off for observing real world application and taking steps to improve the formula. Great work!

If you cut the N (or if we reduce current dosage), couldn't the B-ALIVE be used to provide more N and boosters, such as during the vegetative growth period.?

Thats a solid solution!!

Ahhh, the N content deal,... I've been talking with pop22, 912Greenskell, Reb, even Dabber a bit, about this NPK ratio and how it may affect bud: leaf ratio during bloom, maybe even the initial bud setting-?... We think for veg', MegaCrop is dialed in!...... but for blooming, I'm not so sure.... For example, I've had a "water only" supersoil lose it's P right at early bloom, and it was a near disaster; none of the plants were what they should have been for bud:leaf by harvest, recovery with synthetic and organic PK sources was of variably limited success,... my point is, past a certain time, more P-K isn't much help to fix ealrier defc.'s and the consequences of them... I've been trying to watch some grows, and what strains they are, weighing what that strain is known to behave like for bud:leaf generally, and compare with what I/we see,.. Our collective opinion was that there may be much N going in for bloom, particularly for later stages,...(not always, some plants look as good as can be!), but some were more leafy than should be... And the suggestion for swapping out some Megacrop for Red Line has already been made- :greenthumb:.... my worry is still maintaining the secondary and especially, micronutrient levels when doing this,... right at when demand is highest,.

Man....that is so very well said, and i agree with it all 110%

As you know thats exactly what i went through with my pair of hyper ryders(ran dry on phosphorus on day 40 at 4grams per gallon, the light feeder was showing nitrogen toxicity and excessively dark foliage at 3grams per gallon). Fortunately i was able to jump right on it hitting it hard with green planet massive and pull some great bud.(harvest this week!!)

As a newb, I prefer a more balanced PK going into flower and throughout. MC is higher K, medium N and lower P. When adding in SC, it gives even more K cos its 0-0-1. Bud Explosion also has higher K than P. Using BE as PK booster just doesn't seem right to me. Seems no matter how you mix it, K is gonna be much higher than P. I seem to notice higher P gives larger buds so....?

I feel the same way....the MC formula already has lots of potassium...the only part i see lacking in the phosphorus component. To me it would make sense to choose an additive with a zero nitrogen, high phosphorus and middle to low potassium. Have the flexibility to be able to give em what they need, when they need it. That is maximizing plant frame and flower production.
Thanks Dude!!

Plucking nanners off the Think Fast daily now... I'm just fooling myself because if it's Nannered this early on it's not gonna stop. Idk how much longer I can stay on top of it. If I see one smidge of pollen it's getting pulled. Again THE ONLY one out of 6 females that's doing this...

Well at least the Night Queen haven't Nannered on me! I'm telling you, DP and I just don't mix... Very well at all. I have no idea why!

Reb....what the heck is going on with you and dutch passion? Honestly i don't get it?? I get slammin' plants every time with their stock!! So sad they aren't working out for you :(

They don't like me  seriously tho...l don't know... And totally concerned because I've smoked TF and it's literally one of my very favorite strains ever... So I'm gonna be gutted if I have to take it down... :yoinks:

On another note. Platinum Tom and I have figured out my P300 problem. It's not a P300 I was sent. I was mistakenly sent a custom made unit that is way off the spectrum and too intense. So that's why I've had trouble there as well... So new P300 should be on the way soon!! Hopefully tomorrow!

:d5: talk about stress test!!! Lol

Yeah that really sucks about the TF reb!! So weird...ive never had hermy problems on any DPs except for the BB. Twice she hermied on me late stage, but i believe it was stress induced by major stalk splits after heavy wind and rain broke the main trunk. The other 3 years that they made it through the season without breaking there was no hermy issues. Ive never had early stage hermy on a dp plant

P300 - Read this and responded on your other thread
I am almost staggered that the plants grew in that light!!

I am running mc and sc and it seems like it's taking forever for my autos to flower. I have a bottle of a.n. overdrive (1-5-4) that I would like to use up if compatible. My thinking is that this will give them a needed phosphorus boost?

Not sure there... I haven't had those issues at all. I've been on 1 gram MC, 1.5 gram SC per gallon and mine are good to go... What strains are you growing?

Here's my photos... 11 Roses, Think Fast, and Green Poison are 3 weeks in 12/12. Jedi Kush is 2 weeks in 12/12.

Dialed back the MC per gallon to 1 gram... 1.5 gram per gallon SC. 1ml of Cal/Mag and 2ml of Koolbloom liquid per gallon.

Jedi Kush - she's been LST'd with closthespins... Experimenting... Don't laugh! I know she looks crazy but hoping to increase my yields!!

Green Poison - she is classic Green Poison. Sticky, frosty, fruity, and simply divine! This is why she's become a staple in my room!!

Lovely pictures...........i agree about the bondage thing btw

An interesting MC conversion will be Gram vs Gram

e.g.

for every gram of MC used i grew **** much bud.

I will try and work it out
