So after a few weeks of set up one redo and a lot of hand smacking (from myself and GF, lol no touchy!) I have 3 sprouts and one germinating. Little details on strain choice,
oldest to youngest: Auto BioDiesel Mass, Auto AK, Auto Jack, Goliath.
I have acquired 16 different strains and plan to grow em all! Mind you, one seed each so if it goes awesome if not well try again when other runs out. I know this aint the best method since each strain has its own unique needs and characteristics, but variety is the spice of life, right? So... current set up is in basement, white poly'd a 7'(d)x5'(w)x7'(h) area with structural support with LOTS of help from buddy from BC who used to do major grows and incredibly knowledgable in construction and health of plants.

Growing medium could've had a better forethought in the beginning but Mr. BioDiesel Mass is green, healthy and strong so far and the other two are loving it aswell.
Mix consists of:
2 bags Miracle Gro Potting Soil Mix (3ish years old and flushed twice)
1 Bag steer manure + compost (3ish years old, flushed twice and filtered by hand to remove majority of large chunks (shit) and most large sticks that would interfere with root growth)
1 Bag C-I-L Potting Soil +Plus (was like wow when comparing to Miracle Gro)
1 small Bag Canadian Tire Generic Soil
3/4 bag Miracle Gro enriched Pearlite

Lighting: :)
Current CFL Set-up:
6 2700k 23w
6 6500k 23w
2 2700k 42w
2 4100k 46w
So... 452W @ approx 30,800 lumens at max efficiency with most available spectrum available to me locally
(have ballast for 2 4ft CFL tube but used base as mount for the bulbs, dont feel comfortable to walk outta store with tubes yet, smallish town/city environment)

Now the kicker... Buddy found 2 spanking band new security flood lights at a garage sale for 15 bucks a piece... yes that is 2 150w HPS with ballast pre-built for $30! tested one out last night and it blinded me and my gf for like 5 mins or so, :D

We have built an intake with 4" venting and inline fan with a Bionaire anti-microbial/mold etc. right before the inline fan (100 cfm? $40 @ home hardware) we simply widened a small whole from where cable is running in from and sealed it using tuck tape and the like.

I have a 1100W Kenmore De-humidifier handed down to me from my dad, helps keep humidity down as standing humidity is like 60-65% outside "tent" and was having issues before we (mostly) sealed it up. When not sealed with Dehumidifier 40% and after down to 30% with aswell.

2 DC fans running at 5w each and a larger fan (w?) adjustable and the like.

Exhaust is all that is left, have carbon pellets and pre-filter and am going to invest in an ion or ozone generator in the near future.

Will get some pics up in the near future, at work now so... stealth posting :p.

Real,

:)

So, lights are a little ghetto atm but are working well. Largest to smallest plants... biodiesel mass, auto ak, auto jack. The auto jacks shell stayed on to long and the cotyledons either meshed together or is just missing one, either way all good it seems as it started to pop its first set of true leaves yesterday. Now I know the 2 23 cfls arent doin much at the far right but helps with temp, actually bought a few halogens for heat (60w) but the cfls throw off more.

Oh yeah and if u notice on the top soil there is a few silica crystals to absorb excess moisture and prevent white mold as the compost had been sittin and the twigs and what not are pretty ripe.

Good Luck RealitaT hope it works out for ya
