Ready?

Hey y'all from Michigan.
You got a hillbilly in the city here :biker:
I'm in central Michigan near Lansing.
I'm Sorry to here about your weather. My weather here has been spectacular. I've had the best weather in the last two years.

I do a 99.9% organic grow outside No store bought fake organic chemicals here.....
Only DIY real composted organic soil is here in this Garden.

This year's 2020 photosynthesis plants outside grow #1 Using light deprivation techniques and all super cropped and manipulated for Optimum production. Will start to harvest In a day or so. Starting with the Dinafem blueberry cookies. And then my own Silver Haze. Those will be the first 2 plants to harvest the rest still need another week or so.
Here in Michigan I run 3 crops a year between April and mid September.... This year go's as 1st crop of 12 plant, 2nd crop 3 plants, 3rd crop will be 2 this year because of the covid 19 thing.. Ugh...it held me up from 3 sets of 12... Next year I'll be all on point come hell or high water..as I've got all my seeds already to grow my ass off.

It's very good to have Michiganders on here this site. There's is quite a few of us here.
:pass:
Hey fellow Michigander here, too.....my first grow is almost ready, too. Here to research "harvest" topics myself. How about this insane weather we've had for our first run? wowzers.....I'm in the middle of the mitten & it's been BRUTAL. I can't wait to get these girlies finished & drying. Good luck !
Hello! Isn't this a great resource. I'm growing indoors auto but my tomatoes have been through it all. It's crazy. I'm down near Detroit but family up in midland. So sad there

Good luck, I look forward to following you. :pass::cheers:

Get yourself a loupe or digital microscope, they make ones that plug right into your phone these days. Check out the trichomes under magnification and wait till they are roughly 30% amber.

I have a loop. I have a rare degenerative disease that is very simular to Ms. It's hit my eyes so I'm doing good I think but really appreciate all the help. :thanks: :bighug::love:

Good golly....I'm about 30 miles from Midland.....this first grow has been BRUTAL !!!

I am currently battling white flies, powder mildew AND caterpillars, lol. Luckily I did a bundle research beforehand and have all the organic products on hand, but WOW ! I never thought it'd be this hard. Weather has been horrid. I am researching grow tents right now. Not sure I can deal with the Michigan version of "Mother Nature"? so much time spent to carefully look over these plants......to be hit so hard is heartbreaking.

I also have thrips to watch, fungus gnats, humidity attacking my buds, the frequent 90* days, rain, wind, shitty well water loaded with calcium, bad soil choices (causing nutrient lock on my only photo) this same plant flowered too early and is now revegging, you name it......I've experienced it. I am also into the drying and curing part.

Turns out dehumidifiers can HEAT a room quickly......

As is always the case.....I started my first grow with the "go big or go home" attitude......16 plants in 4 various stages of growth. I have flowers all over my yard. Bugs galore. caterpillars and moths everywhere. Also growing tomatoes WAY too close to the cannabis grow area. Had botrytis on those.....it flew over to a few plant leaves. Powder mildew has been a legit bitch.

If I do not become an "indoor grower" after all this? I'll be amazed. Good luck !

2 weeks probably around there

Yep, I have about 2 weeks on my autos, too.....that'll make 3 months. A few said "8-10 weeks" not so here......but I'm trying very hard to be patient. It's tough. I have every problem they list as a possibility......some days I literally feel schizophrenic

I wake up thinking things like "is neem too late now? can I block the flower and spray anyway".....lol......oh the fun this is. I sure hope the smoke makes it worth it !

I've spent about $600.......hopefully I get at LEAST 60 grams or NO.....it was NOT.

I take that back.....seriously, I've learned so much thus far...I'm sure it is worth it, but wow. These are NOT "plant & pluck" situations here. Not in Michigan anyway. Good luck w/ your grow !

PS I have found the mini microscope to be better than the jewelers loupes for seeing the trichomes better. I may have to invest in the camera that lets me see it all on computer. It is SO hard to focus on the trichomes with such a small device. When I even breathe the whole view gets fuzzy. I'm also seeing amber trikes despite there being clear ones, as well. When to chop? hmmm.....just going with my gut. It says to wait it out. I'm an indica gal.......I LOVE the couch lock, lol. thinking.....LET THEM RIDE. But man do I have bugs, mold & mildew to battle !

Heyyyyyyy, I hail from Lansing myself. Good to hear you've had such nice weather. I'm only 90minutes away and have awful stuff. High heat & humidity .....rain....wind.....etc, etc. Nothing new for Michigan, but rough for a first time outdoor grower. I live in the woods though. I have 5 flower gardens and had no idea what bug magnets they were until now!

If I make it out of this first 16 plant grow with anything nice to smoke......I'll call it a success
