Grow Mediums Rain Science Grow Bags communal test thread

Finally going to place an order and really looking forward to trying a grow with these. Especially if I can get a sort of SIP set up working... we'll see.

And a request... have you considered making a lowrider in a smaller volume? Say a 3 or 5 gallon? I really, really like the idea since I'm growing in a small tent with limited height and was a little bummed that 15gal was the smallest size. Something to think about in the future at least or ask for input. OR I'd love to buy a test run version and give some feedback.

I ordered a 3 gallon with the cool yellow trim and the brass grommets, but I forgot to check the box for the handles. Oh well. Day 19 With a freebie seedsman green crack auto and the plant is about 9 1/2 inches tall with the sixth node sticking up
and the Rain Science bag just starting to show pit hair. LOL

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone here can help me find out how many litres these bags hold ??? Sounds simple BuuuuT 2 gallons to me = 9l Not so fast these are US gallons so about 7.5l and then there's the "trade gallons the horticultural industry uses which would be around 5.5l Soooo 3 trade gallons is actually quite a bit less than 2 Imperial gallons. The UK distributer I was looking at is calling a gallon 4l which is somewhere in between US and Imperial lol Is it maybe time the UK and US dropped these archaic weights and measures for something eh? ... logical

The 3 gallon bag that I have is true to stated size I think. From what I have seen the 1 gallon and 5 gallon bags are also true to size. The one that gets weird is a 2 gallon because it only holds 1.6 gallons. That’s not the only time I’ve seen this. I’ve seen a couple of other manufacturers who make the cloth bags have the same measurements. My suspicion is that this bag is actually a 6 L bag. Otherwise I think you can pretty much just multiply the gallon capacity of the others by whatever it is 3.7 perhaps to get liters

Cool. You were 3 gallon is doing a bang up job on my first use.
