Hey guys, Got a quick question for you.

I just started my first grow of cream caramel autos 9 days ago in a humidome. Everything is looking great so far minus some questionability with the roots. When I pulled one of the rapid rooters up, there is plenty of healthy white roots, but there is also some that are brown/yellow and dried up looking at the ends of the roots.

I have .5 inch of ph balanced water in the bottom tray that I change out every other day, though only about 4 of the 36 plants roots are growing through and into that tray.

As well, I am watering 20ml of water as needed when the rooter starts to look dry, so about once a day.

I am also using 1/4 strength voodoo juice that I supplemented on days 4 and 7, though no veg nutes yet.

Q1: Is it time to transplant to the Aeroflo yet, or should I wait?
Q2: Should I start with 1/4 strength veg nutes now, or wait till the transplant?

Temps are between 70-80 all the time
Humidity is between 50-80% all the time
Plenty of fresh air throughout the day as well as a small oscillating fan for stem strength.

Sorry if the pics are less than stellar, using an iPhone camera.

Setup:
Secret Jardin DR150 Tent
Phresh 6x24 Carbon Filter
Valuline 6' inline fan
Aeroflo 36 Hydro Unit
Growlightpro 450W LED
Other Misc items and a variety of AN nutes.

Thank you all so much!

Sorry about the colors of the pics, I was rushing to get the pics and didn't flip the LED off.

rapid rooter contain nutes
transplant when root appear
feed when in aeroflow

I read somewhere to do it when they get their 3rd set of true leaves yet they look ready now due to root development constraints within that small humidome space. Safe to transplant now?

its fine long as they have roots showing
if there browning you have waited to long it could be root rot

Awesome, well with that said, I have two more questions.

Does it matter if I do the transplant directly after a 6 hour lights off schedule, or is there is preferred time for the transfer to reduce any possible transplant stress?

Do I have the water level meet the bottom of the rooter plug, or slightly suspended so that the roots can work their way through the hydrotron and down in to the water supply?

As far as being only 9 days old, how are they looking, under developed or just right?

Thanks Agito.

it does not mater to much either way if you dont damage the roots, doing at lights off is maybes the best but there well bound so do it asap

you want the roots at the bottom of the pot if possible dangle a few through the holes, but not the plug and very carefully back fill the tron over the lower roots. sit the plug on the hydrotron then back fill around the plug

You're awesome, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and the quick response.

the solution should touch the roots only (not rooting plug as it holds to much water)

as the roots get longer you would drop the level to provide an air gap for the roots
