quick question about reversed female smell

I feel ya brother
And the lady now occupies the growdrobe. Environment no longer friendly to Botrytis (~50%RH, 23C). Maybe I will save a few colas yet.

Two salvage trims so far, maybe a third of the lady, about half of the bud removed tossed. Even that recovery rate was pushing it for possible mould that I could not see.

As always, by the time you see it, there is a heck of a lot more of it already started but not visible. I am still hopeful that the remaining colas will do better, but the jury is out. Raining and 8C outside, still, so the lady would be worse if I hadn't moved her inside. What a summer.

@Olderfart Sorry about your od grow. I ran two autos that both finished up nicely ods., and have two FF photos going now. Sounds like the climate has been better here on the island than for you inland. Outdoors, I keep the plants well opened up with pruning and defoliation to avoid the PM and BR. I went with the FF photos as well to finish up in September. Never grown them before and am impressed so far. I've got them under a greenhouse tarp to keep the rain off and from dew setting on them. It's well anchored into the earth as the winds can blow here. circulation as all sides are open.

If you attempt to pollinate and journal it, tag me if ya remember as I would like to follow the process. :headbang:

Here is my little od setup with the two Green Poison FF in the ground and autos in the bags [ this was june 23rd

Hey @Kyote, nice to see you here. I'm glad that your outdoor grows this summer are doing well. I like your tarp setup, :headbang:it is pretty much identical to what I did last summer. This summer, I went further with only one end of the "greenhouse" left open, and I added a fan to keep air moving. Didn't do much good, the mould is worse this year than last. OTOH, the grape tomatoes are thriving, if not ripening very quickly, and I have had a few nice feeds of fresh green beans. Minor consolation for the infected lady though.

This summer has been an absolute bust up here for weather. My better half and I have never once seen one like it in over 30 years of living here. We have patches of slime mold growing in our yard. The first time my dearest saw the stuff, she thought maybe our dog had barfed. :crying:

Anyway, with a bit of luck I might get a cola or two mature now that the lady is indoors. I should know in a few days whether the evil Botrytis continues to spread. I need to do at least a minor trim this morning to deal with one spot...

Good luck with the rest of the photo grow, I hope you knock it out of the park. :pighug:

If you got dog slime mold, it must have been high humidity for a good spell there. That's crazy for where you are. Hope you salvage enough for maybe making some butter or something with it.

Yes, it is crazy for here. This is not exactly a coastal climate, but this year it feels like coastal big time. I'll likely get some bud off the lady, but the trichs are too early for me to be much interested at this point. I have a recipient in mind who doesn't mind the young trichs, maybe even prefers them, but the buds may be a bit early even for him. Not much cloudy yet, and zero amber. He will be getting a care package at some point if I can get some dried without more mould. If I can keep a few colas going for a while, I may still get what I am interested in, namely some nicely ambered bud that I can compare with my 24 Carat for sleep purposes.
