I did that and now 2 of my seedlings have a little yellow bit on them. My fault, I think they were a little premature. Im sure they will be fine though so I'm not worried
Right on guys. So out of the 12 plants ALL but 2 are now open. I had one that looked like it one pushed itself out of the ground root and all. so i stuck my finger in the whole and was geting ready to pull on it an saw that half the root sysem is out of the ground and it looked like it wanted to bury itself in the ground so i just build up the dirt on the exposed root. but the two are slightly open so were good.
i recentley noticed a huge increase in survival rate when i allow the seed to develop a one inch long root before i plant it in soil. i think you were just popping em in soil so this doesnt apply to you, but for anyone else. the cotyledons seem te be much more capable of removing the hull and that annoying skin after developing longer roots.
