Question About Reversing Female Autos

I've tackled these dilemmas in my own ways. The advice previously mentioned is spot on! But there's a few ways to skin that cat. I've taken clones as soon as I see preflowering or just before from the lowest undeveloped branches. These can be reversed and pollinated. I pulled 40-50 Off a gorilla glue clone and it was only 5 inches tall. Another sister clone was reversed next to it in the same 1 gallon pot.

But to isolate pollenation in a single grow area I used a clear plastic tub w a latching lid . I cut an intake vent on the side of it and taped a piece of high quality air filter material over it , then repeat this at the highest point with an axial fan drawing air out. Melt a few holes for watering hoses made outta clear viynl hoses that will land in the pots of soil. Add plants after pollensacks form. Plug the fan in to create a negative pressure that keeps stray pollen inside. Then add to the grow area. As long as u pull it out to open it in another room and then spray it down w water after u close it before putting it back in the grow.

If u Google male cannabis isolation chamber u will see several examples. Total cost isn't much and it's super easy to do !!!!

Dope! Thanks for the input. I've seen a few isolation chambers online.. Im not to savy with diy tho. Lol. I may give this a try though because I really want to make a cross durring this run!

I like the clone idea. I actually stunted a fantasmo really bad and it only grew 4" tall. I was going to pull it. Then I decided to pollinate it. She is about 70 days old now planted in the garden brewing up seeds.
Mini plants are a great way to save space and resources and you can put them in your flower garden or even on your window sill.

When I only spray a branch I cut it right before the first sack opens and place it in a glass of well water with my house plants.

And then you collect pollen from that branch while its in the glass of water? If so. This is exactly what I want to do. Ive replayed it over and over again in my head.. And it seems to make since and feels like it could work..

You all have been AWESOME! There is so much great info that ypu all just shared!

Yup, I take it to the kitchen table with a pair of tweezers and a 2oz glass jar.

The clones take a few weeks to root and get back on track. So usually the mother is ready for harvest way before the clone. If a person is trying to isolate a pheno they can take multiple clones and polinate/reverse them based on the mothers results. Kinda like a head's up on the genetics. Another advantage of taking clones is that u can try various soil/ nutrient changes on the exact same plant. I literally had a clone taste so much better than the mom I tweaked my whole soil recipe based on it. Some longer vegging plants can make decent size plants. I've had a few hit 2.5 ft @15grams in 1gallon pots water only,!!!.

Hoping to get some guidance on timing when using autos. If I CS spray a few branches, will I be able to collect pollen on time to pollinate and grow viable seed from that run, or do I need to dry the pollen and start a new batch as pollinate those? 'Cos as far as I've read, buds need to be pollinated early on, to give them time to produce good viable seeds, and this adds a week or two extra in comparison to harvesting bud.

You want to start spraying at the start of preflower. If done successfully, you will be able to pollinate the plant you are reversing, as collect pollen to use at later date.

Holy Old thread Batman!

I would start the plant you plan to reverse 3-4 weeks earlier than the plants you plan to pollinate.
I didn't do this and I had to let my plants go well past ripe to get the seeds mature enough which was worth it but added 4 extra weeks to the grow,

Damn I just popped them all at once. In not worried about length just viable seed that wasn't stressed. How'd your seed turn out?
