interesting stuff folks :thumbsup: www has been throwing me red herrings :biggrin: im trying to find patterns,is watering/feeding at the 2nd dip in vpd thats not at the flick of lights on ?
:pighug:

well i have my lights on at night and off in the hot part of the day and i also don't have A/C so my environment is all over the place lol I just roll with the punches and hope i get good temps and good rh I am sure some someone who has a better set up looks more or less the same day to day

@wwwillie Hum I was just thinking since I am not a member of the original trial team would it be better if I posted to a different thread? Let me know and I will jump over if needed.
Welcome to the crew!
The more the merrier my friend!!

@wwwillie Thanks,

What a fantastic tool. First observations: The central heater in my house drys out the air as clearly evident by the fall and rise of humidity/VPD coinciding with its use. It also clearly shows the watering schedule with bumps in VPD as the fertigation takes place. At night the temperature in the house is allowed to drop to 64°F at 5:00 am it runs up to 67°F just before my wife gets up to get ready for work. I am running several other hygrometers in the room right now because the Nano's readings are 4 points lower than the wireless one I have been relying on. This may well be a function of placement since none of them are in agreement with a 6 point range? My humidity is not high enough and I always have to run a humidifier at the beginning of a grow until the plants get enough leaf surface to raise it. Even with a humidifier and my exhaust on slowest speed I cannot get it up enough.

The light meter is useful to know that they are running. I am not sure that LUX is more useful than that. Lights out just happened while typing this. I am still getting a reading of 0.7 . What are your lights out readings? Do I have some light getting in or is that essentially dark.

Temperature is easy to control this time of year but this will be invaluable as summer comes on. Here is a screenshot:

Now I just need to learn from this data :paleo:

It is AWESOME!!! Isn't it!
You know I did not calibrate mine, I will do that. Bovida makes a hygrometer calibration kit that I use for my curing hygrometers. It's basically an airtight bag with a 75% boveda pack. I put the hygrom in for 28 hours and then I adjust my reading by the delta of the calibration. IE: it says 70% after sitting in the bag so I subtract 5 from that unit when I use it. Simple.

We can calibrate the Nano @okPeet or can we make adjustments to the data? What about that 0.7 LUX reading is that a light leak or is that dark?

Yeah I can do a calibration for you, eventually I'll make it so you can calibrate yourself on the app. With regards to light, the 0.7 is effectively zero - just noise from the sensor.
