no i do not have it backwards , a dieing leaf IS a sucker leaf , that is with ANY plant as well as trees

a dieing leaf will try its best to survive , and even a dead leaf still attached to a plant is a sucker

i am NOT talking about near the end of the plants life , i am talking about when the plant and its leaves should still be healthy

i saw a post today where you bitched someone out for constantly giving bad info ,,,,

id say you yourself should do more reading and less typing

as for growing knowledge , im pushing 35 years growing cannabis and my mother has been a manager at a huge greenhouse complex longer then that

Hey now. It doesn't matter how long you've been growing, you are new here sir. And I suggest not mouthing off at reputable members like Mr Piggy. True, he can be a bit harsh sometimes, but he just calls them as he sees them, as do I. We are all cool here and I welcome you here, since I didn't see your introduction, if you posted one. So don't swoop in and make a stab at something else he did today. You apparently haven't hung around the AFN very long, mate. If you had, you'd know we don't put up with much of shitty attitudes.

Like I said, we're glad to have you. But play it cool. You too, Piggy. :)

i am not wrong and your limited experience shines through in this thread just like most others ive read that you post in

i wont sit here arguing with you any longer , ill just do like i have been for quite some time and lurk while grinning in amusement at the posts you make

id advise you purchase a good horticultural book or two

Did you read the site rules? All I am saying is it's un-called for in the manner in which you came at him. Smoke a bowl and lurk around until you can play well with others.

and just so your aware , the tearm sucker leaf is in fact for dieing (before their time) leaves and not for fan leaves as some ppl have started saying over the years , its a term someone got wrong and it snow balled from there

not trying to argue , im trying to educate , and learn when possible

peace

A pissing match over what a sucker leaf is?
What is wrong with you guys?
"sucker leaf" is a very generic term and depending on what plants, what area of the country, how friggin old the person using the term is could mean a whole host of things. To me sucker leaves are leaves that sprout from the lower portion of the trunk or stalk of a plant well below the canopy. And in most cases I do not hesitate to rub them off or pick them off at first appearance.
I gotta say I have read more than one harsh post by Piggy today. I would suggest perhaps a few more puffs and perhaps giving some thought to not pushing the boundaries of civil discourse.
And even though I tend to agree with you on many of your posts, Piggy, your choice in the way you convey the information is not uncommonly unnecessarily harsh.

This is true about the leaves. My grandma calls any leaves that aren't doing great sucker leaves, and I would never argue with her. haha. Let's just let it be folks. :smokebuds:

I don't see any issue with the way I normally go about things, but I have been unnecessarily harsh today and I intend to go check myself. My bad.
